Come spend a couple weeks here in Palm Springs if you want sunny days! And I mean 110 sunny vibes!

😁 I want all the cold and wet I can get!!!!
I can subscribe to this. Phoenix has gone full hot mode recently. But, for the sake of not having to drive Alpine Loop with 100 trucks for 4 straight days, I’d like to see some sun on the tops of the San Juan’s!

The HiH thread is comfortable in its predictability. First we get excited, then we sign up, them we talk about CBs, then we talk about the heat and post photos of our in cab displays, then we go to Silverton and have an awesome time!

Since it's not one-way traffic, at least some of us can be going the opposite direction.

Weather up in Silverton looks to be pretty sunny and warm the next 10 days. Hopefully that will help thaw some stuff out. Definitely getting excited for the trip and trying to get the last few things done to my truck.

Made it in off the wait list! So excited to attend our first HIH event. In somewhat of a panic mode with little more than two weeks to prep...but I'm not complaining...just panicking! LOL;)

A little more than 2 weeks to prep is about right I think :) Most of us have grand plans months in advance, but procrastinate. Then, July hits and you realize you have 2 weeks or so to get everything done.

My list is 2 pages long and I'm basically checking things off each day until departure.

Definitely going to be wet this year (probably more wet than previous years). But, that's not a bad thing at all. With up to 3 weeks of sunshine, the flowers are going to be incredible. Water crossings are going to be plentiful (especially on Stony). Picking up my new tires today (another set of KO2).....wonder if I should get KM3 instead :)

Can't wait for HIH! The mountains are calling.

KM3 or STT Pro 35s, do it Gary. And then go buy a daily.

Dissent Skids showed up today. That’s pretty much the last thing I was waiting on for the trip. My planning and modding started January 1st. I can’t wait!!

KM3’s (33x12.5/18) I am waiting for are on back order, not sure until when. My current KO2’s are fine for the trip, buttt I really hope they come in before

Been coming to 100s for 7 years now, its a marker my wife and i use for our life. So last week when our cruiser spontaniosly caught on fire in the middle of the night and put our annual trip in jeopardy we went into action taking mode. I dont get on here as much as I would like to but figured this would be a great place to share the story. We have owned our truck for 8 years and had 300k miles on her. Had no desire to sell it for anything, i wanted my kids to drive this thing (and we dont have kids yet) so it was a big loss for us.

I thursday last week i walked out to the cruiser to take it to work and opened the door to find the interior coverd in soot.

Then walked around back to find the issue.

Nothing on that side is aftermarket wiring, and nothing at the back had constant power except the fridge, which was wired to the blue sea fuse block on the other side of the car. Still cant tell what exactly happened as its all entombed in melted plastic.

Insurance totaled it monday.

Tuesday purchased a 06 LX470 with 160k dad miles on it.
