2000 LC. Built 12/99. 100k. no problems

IIRC, mine was built around may of 2000. Around 137k, and everything seems fine. Knock on wood.

We have twinsies! I'm 5/00 as well! Only 79k, no problems.

I'm extremely jealous of your mileage though. ;)

And at this rate I'm only going to put about 3k on it this year! The time capsule LC!

1999 LC. 178k miles. Standard dealer maintenance until ~130k, then I started doing my own. Tranny drain/refills every 15k or so. Not a single transmission problem.

Thank you to everyone who's helped revive this thread.

For those of you that haven't, could you look at your driver's door sticker and find out what date and month your's was built.

I'd like to try to figure out if there is a certain manufacturing date that tends to have more transmission problems.

Thank you.

This is what I've been able to figure out so far:

FAILED:

2000 LX470 Failed @ 41k

2000 UJZ100 Failed @ 71,000

2000 UJZ100 Failed @ 126k

2000 UJZ100 03/2000 Failed @ 90k

2001 LX470 12/2000 Failed @ 130k

GOOD:

1999 UJZ100 06/1999 Good @ 132K

2000 UJZ100 10/1999 Good @ 84k

2000 UJZ100 10/1999 Good @ 134k

2000 UJZ100 11/1999 Good @ 151k

2000 UJZ100 12/1999 Good @ 100k

2000 UJZ100 02/2000 Good @ 126k

2000 UJZ100 05/2000 Good @ 79k

2000 UJZ100 05/2000 Good @ 92K

2000 UJZ100 05/2000 Good @ 137k

2000 UJZ100 07/2000 Good @ 112K

I need more info on the ones that failed.

Doesn't seem to be any pattern, either with mileage or build date.

The trouble with data like this is it's not very scientific. You'll always get replies from the folks who've replaced one, but not necessarily from those who haven't.

I wonder what the failure population looks like from other years for comparison.

Edit: I think the list above is a little short. On the first four pages alone I count around 30 posts with 2000 LC's. Not counting the 98's, 99's, and a few 01's.
