Ok, so I am putting out a feeler on my 1996 FZJ80 -- I purchased this from original owner ... 5 years ago ( I'm guessing ).

4.5L 1FZ-fe / Daily driver
Working Factory electronic lockers & Center Diff Lock
Arb bumper ( some rock rash )
( warn x9001 winch & Arb roof rack not included in sale, but could be negotiated )
Custom overlanding platform included
( I do have the second row seats etc. that will be included in a sale )
Only a couple rust bubbles in paint on the rear hatch.

All in all very solid chassis and body overall.
Shifts smooth
She has some bumps and bruises, scratches etc. but is a great camping / expedition rig.
Yes it's dirty.
Has an Old Man Emu lift to clear the larger tires ( unsure of exact lift height )
BFG A/T Tires are in great shape on FJ steelies ( using small wheel spacers for correct back spacing )
PHH is done
Blue fan clutch installed
Ultra Gauge shows truck runs consistently 183 - 195 degrees under most circumstances.
I will get 199-201 on steep Colorado grades.
Seats are very good under the tuff duck covers

I want to be completely up front about this truck in that I believe it's an amazing rig, but
it's a 20 year old truck and not free from issues.

Issues that I am aware of:
AC not working -- I live in cold climate so don't care, I'm sure it could be sorted.
ABS was kicking a code so I pulled the pin rather than go further
Birfs gimme some light clicks when lockers are engaged
( I have replacements that will be included )
Front axle needs some seals
Rear "Landcruiser" emblem fell off 3 weeks ago -- metal needs cleaning and new badge applied.

My Concerns:
The engine has a slight, yet audible " click / rattle " under certain RPMs 2500 - 3000 and it seems to be consistant with load applied ( sort of goes away if I let off the pedal ) -- I am almost certain that it's always had it since I've owned it, but it's worth noting that I might be hearing it more these days -- not sure if I am just keen to it or it indicates something new. Mechanic said it could be wrist pin & the issue could be fine for another 100k or make itself very well known in 5 miles -- I have no idea.

I'm a reasonable person, but I know the collective value in this truck so if lowballing is your thing, please, save us both the time.

Extras could be negotiated, I have other plans for the winch & roof rack.
I also have other 80 series parts that could be negotiated.

Please PM me for more info / pics / etc or to talk on the phone.
Clean Colorado title in hand.
I'm not desperate to sell, in fact I love this rig, but we just picked up a new Bronco project and I am running out of space really really fast.

thanks for looking

8 brand for a weird noise and front the axle needing rebuild.....

Glws!

Not so useful for the post!

I would say I know the seller pretty well and have helped him spend some monies on Cruisers I applaud his honesty and openness regarding the cruiser (which my son loves). If he wasn't gonna pass the broncho onto me after he fixes some issues I would consider the 80!!!!!

Thnx Jon -- & yea I'm swapping out the fuel tanks on the bronco for ya -- shocks & tires too!
Re: the 80, it's definitely been a fun rig and never let me down once, except that time I left the lights on while skiing and came back to a dead battery, but other than that, it's taken good care of me on all my adventures & will more than likely continue to do so into the foreseeable future.

Re: Axle build -- I have good replacement birfs ready to go, you just need a seal kit, paper towels, and the free time & motivation to swap out. I've heard they can go a long time clicking -- and could potentially be swapped left to right to prolong life. axle seals need to be done anyway, might as well plop in the new axles.
