Still lots of work to do. Unfortunately, I won’t be getting the cruiser back in time for GSMTR in mid-June. That’s okay though, gives me time to sort out the rest of the truck.83715
Definitely don't want to take that on Pritchett Canyon !!Thinking about, “Passively looking for a trail rig.”
Sounds like one dealer wanted to win a customer for life, and did so by doing you right.Update on the hood situation:
My local dealer wouldn’t help. Another dealer stepped up and stepped in. They ordered a new hood for me, took my old hood and took care of me. They didn’t have to do that. They owed me nothing. That’s phenomenal customer service. I won’t forget it and that parts manager has a very nice bottle of whatever his favorite beverage of choice is coming his way.
I don’t want to get anyone in any trouble, so I’ll keep names and dealerships out of this text.
Looks great! Was it about the same color? Mine is white. Torn about doing another color, but afraid going white to another color will show too much in the creases and what not. Shouldve thought about that before I put the motor in.
Thanks! It is the “same color” of you can call it that after 28 years of oxidation, fading, and abuse. Are you painting it yourself? If not what’s a paint job costing these days ballpark figure?
I think I have the same issue, Except I think I also feel they used the wrong acorn lug nut and the bolt face has dug into the rims. Im not sure they salvageable. I need to post some pictures in my link. I have a build date of 10/94, and the rims are mixed, not sure if it came off the line that way, which there is a strong chance it did. I hope they're still good. Not sure I want to drop a grand on rims for that.Tire rotation time. What do you see in the next two pics?

Are you replacing them with stock rims? Many options out there, I just sold a stock set of 5 for $200.I think I have the same issue, Except I think I also feel they used the wrong acorn lug nut and the bolt face has dug into the rims. I’m going to take a closer look, and see how theu for with proper lug nuts. They’re chewed up a bit, but in good shape. I’d pick up some more stock rims if I found some in good shape. I’m thinking mine are fine. Bet that flat side of the other style lug nut will be fine. Are you replacing them with stock rims? Many options out there, I just sold a stock set of 5 for $200.
