New lug nuts. Originals were in rough shape and several had been replaced with the open ended variety. Wish I could justify The cost of going back original but at $10 each, I just can't. These will have to do. They seem to be pretty solid. I guess we will see.

I got the rear wheels back on Cotton. Looking at it as it sits, I can't help but think of an old song by 2Live Crew. You know the one.

A quick trip around the yard was all I needed to verify that the rear locker is indeed working as it should. 2X locked!

Now we will move on to number three locker and lifting the front.

Today, Nathan and I got the unlocked front axle out from under Cotton and got the locked replacement back in along with OME 850J springs. I've still got a lot of work to do. I'll be glad when this little axle swap project is done. It's an awful lot like work.

Truck is looking great dave!! Ive still got that OME stabilizer if you're interested like we discussed. I should be able to source some new hardware for it I just haven't had time to get around to it yet!

If anyone wants the original hardware, i have mine i am not using. Soneone just pay to ship it. I have the bolts and frame plate. I even have the factory skid playe for that area also. Just offering it, id rather not throw it away(for sure wouldnt toss the bolts, those things are useful!)

I went ahead and purchased a new SS. Thanks anyway, guys. I do appreciate it.

Is there slop in the tie rod ends? both of my bars were sloppy loose. Cruiser outfitters has a 555 4 pc kit to swap all 4 ends.

3X locked and lifted! I am wrapping up the lift and locked axle swap on Cotton. Runs and drives fine. Front locker engages as it should. Indicator is not lighting up for the front. I installed bulbs for both locker indicators but I must not have seated the front bulb properly. Either that or I just installed a bad bulb. I need to re-center the steering wheel. I have activated the ABS on my gravel drive so I plan to re-bleed the brakes to wrap up this little project.

Triple awesome!!!!

You really shouldnt drive a truck like this, where the replacement axles have been done by some hack under a tree. I recommend you have a test driver shake it down for a couple of months and then certify it. I can be that for you if needed

Steve, yes, my rod ends are in need of being replaced. I will get up with Kurt and get some 555's for sure.

Maybe Kurt will throw a sticker in your box for me. LOLOL

Installed a Bowfin Cruisers @dogfishlake roof rack last night. The rack is a work of art. Well packaged. Fits perfectly. More than enough hardware to install. I'm a very happy customer! The rack doesn't show up well against the dark background in these pics. I'll take more pics later.

Thank you and Beautiful 80! Your truck is a perfect example why I have been wrapping mine white (to be painted white eventually), and am switching back to oem wheels.

Installed MIL SPEC battery terminals to replace the old stretched-out originals that required sheet metal screws to keep good contact. The MIL SPEC terminals make winch cable and accessory attachment so much easier.
