Gotta ask.

i'm trying to figure out if this is a 12v or 24v system. There's not much to go on except came with 1 battery that was dead and there's a sticker under the cigarette lighter that says 24V

Will a 24V starter with only 1 12V battery turn the engine too slow for it to start?

What market is it from? JDM models of that year were all 24 volt and had 2 batteries. I wouldnt advise using 1 battery. Probably lots of info on the alternator which is 30 amps with this part number 27060-17190

That’s good question. I bought this in Curaçao, and the previous owner says it was used as a Red Cross vehicle. Doesn’t have heat or air (not even blower motor in the cabin). It’s pretty rough from a creature comfort perspective but all of that stuff could have been taken out at some point. There’s only 1 tray, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t there before. Same with the battery cables. I don’t see how power would be delivered in series for 2 12v batteries.

You could type your VIN in one of the websites :
toyodiy.com
or
partsouq.com
you should be able to figure out the origin.

Partsouq should be able to give you info based on chassis ID (pictured). But I just tried it, and unless those aren't 4's, partsouq is not recognizing it. My 70 series has another character before the dash, but mines from Japan, so that may not be helpful... Do you have any identifiers on the firewall plate?

I can’t find the firewall plate. It’s either covered by paint or was removed? I could also be looking in the wrong spot.

Well it has to be a Non-JDM market vehicle because it's left hand drive correct? THere were no LHD JDM market vehicles?

according to toyodiy it can only be an 4spd STD, 5spd STD or 5spd LX in left hand drive (but they can be wrong)

I can confirm it is a 5 sped ;)
Is it possible it came from Venezuela?

With only one battery it will be a 12V. The 24v models had 2 batteries as standard. It is most likely a GEN market model , they were largely 12v
