93 1FZ-FE EGR Valve w/no Temp Sensor (1 Viewer)

My 93 FZJ80 is throwing the Code 71. After cleaning the modulator and replacing all the lines, I ordered a new EGR valve. My issue is that my new EGR valve did not come with the temp sensor hole, assuming it's from a 95-97.

Can I still use this valve and have a functioning EGR system? And/or will I need to loop the temp sensor plug??

Without the temp sensor there will be nothing to tell the ECM when to tell EGR when to open/close.

roger, that's what I was afraid of. maybe i can relocate it.

Relocating it would mean you would have to drill/tap the intake and put the sensor where the 95-97 has it. I'd probably, return the new EGR valve and jump it using this - 1993-1994 FJ80 EGR Temp Sensor Test Plug Kit

93 did not have an EGR temp sensor.

I recall that the 93, maybe 94 sold in California had the temp sensor.

Sounds good. I bought the valve off a fellow mudder. So if anybody needs a brand new OEM valve i got one for sale!!
