Red is a nice color but I'm sure it's going to be a tuff decision. Your build is coming along nicely and that motor looks awesome. On your 80 axle, what size perches did you install and where did you get them from? Looking to do that same set up in the future...keep up the good work....gil
I had a extra 60 axel, and I just cut them off of it

this project has been on the shelf for a while but out with the old in and in with the new. if anyone wants a complete 3fe motor/trans/transfer wiring and computer give me a call 2707917096 $750. It was running when i pulled it, i just need it gone.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the guys at TLC are top notch. I bought there kit for the conversion and sent that time i have had a few questions as well as additional GM part numbers that i would need. Mario and Seth have gone out of there way to help me. There customer service reminds me of Christo and Ben at Sleeoffroad. Both companies are top notch.

It has been a while since i have had time to work on the truck but the past week has been productive. I sat the motor in right before Christmas and thought i could finish it prior to the new year but got side tracked with kids stuff. i have the motor in, drive line complete (tundra front axle upgrade and 80 rear), shift linkage complete, all plumbing complete with the exception of the top radiator hose and ac lines. i will try to complete the wiring in the next week or so but here are a few pics

VERY clean work!

Did you build that crossmember? It's sweet!

Yeah, that's some nice looking kit you got from TLC. You got some sexy V8 happening there.

Was the rad also included? Looks like it has the auto trans cooler. Speaking of the trans...how's your front drive shaft clearance to the trans oil pan?

I need some wiring help, first question is easy for you guys. I don't have the original transmission so i can't verify. Is the neutral safety switch located on the 62 trans or at the factory shifter.

Next electrical question. Since i am using the erod kit, the alt. is controlled by the GM computer. I don't see the need to hook up the Y-W wire and the B-Y to the GM Alt. Please tell me if i am missing something.

The neutral safety switch and backup light switch are both located on the FJ62 transmission. I couldn't figure out how to adapt them to the 4L60E, so if you figure that out please let us know! My half-ass solution to the NSS was to put a relay in the starter solenoid circuit that is activated by the brake light switch, so you need to step on the brake pedal in order to start the truck. I currently don't have any backup lights.

You don't have to use any of the FJ62 alternator wires, other than the battery wire.

What an Impressive build!
