im not sure about the CA smog. I don't see how these would affect anything exhaust related but Im not an expert on the laws there. You will have to check on local laws and install at your own risk. Man-a-Fre and SOR sell OEM tanks when they have them and non OEM tanks also.

When installed the subtank is only noticeable to some one that knows these trucks well. This is not to suggest trying to skirt any rules. The diligence is on anyone installing these into their trucks. I've been running one in AZ for a few years and never had any trouble with emissions or local laws here.

Cool. I'm honestly not concerned. Put me down as maybe on an 80 and ill confirm with final price.

I am in AZ and would be in for one at that price.

Sounds like there is interest.. I asked them to find some more so lets see what happens. I also posted to the 100 section as they have 100 tank sets so ill give them a couple days to respond.... i know they wheel once in a while and can use a few extra gallons once in awhile on the way to the mall:flipoff2:

Hey Chris - Do you want to edit the first post with a running list of folks who are interested in this setup? It might make it easier to track and let people get on board or bow out if necessary.

Interested in the 100 series version...how many gallons is this subtank?

Thanks (I'm in AZ, as well, if that matters)

I think the 100 is sligtly larger but Im not certain. In my opinion its well worth the mod for any tank over 10 gallons.. its saved me more than once!!! I can't even believe I could go anywhere with just the main. Its more or less like having 3 fuel cans just not having to deal with transferring every 5 gallons.. Im not trying to convince anyone but next to my freezer its the best mod I've done because of all the backcountry stuff i do.

As for the list- Yes, good suggestion. i will do that once I firm things up and will create a list based on interest. Once the list is finished I will give everyone the option to say yes or no and ask for a commitment.

Thanks

chris

I'm interested in a 100 tank set up. What's the timeline for these? Also, is it the full oem set up where the system switches from the main tank fuel lines to the aux tank fuel lines? Or is it plumbed more like the front runner set up, where fuel transfers from the sub tank into the main tank?

interested in the 100 tank depending on price and how this works at the dash end. is this with the stock overhead gauge pod or some kind of aftermarket?

Im bringing in only OEM stuff. its a direct pull out. Im not sure what the 100 series gauges look like but there is an overhead gauge pod for the 80s

it seems there is a "sub" light on the gauge and a switchable button.

Ok. i didnt realize how the 100 system worked... let me see what they are providing.

I'm down for a 100 system.

However I'd need a complete part number listing to verify its complete.

Thanks,

Shane

I hate to ask but - would this pass a California visual inspection during SMOG?

Technically no, but I doubt many would notice concidering it looks OEM. A shiny stainless tank would be a different story though. ..
