Payment has been sent! And I opted for the reverse lights!!
Thanks!

Just wanted to throw an install step in for the 100 owners. The 100 thread was closed b/c it was opened in the tech section as a project and turned into a sell thread (no hard feelings Mods!). Since many of the 100 sales now originate here I thought I would provide some simple instructions for installing LEDs for the license plate lights. (80s owners: If this is applicable to your rig, sound off and I will make them available to you guys too).

100 Series - License plate LED install instructions

1. When you open your lift gate you should see two lamp housings at the bottom of the gate. Slide those housings to your right (passenger side) and then pull them out from the bulb housing's left (driver's side).

2. Disconnect the wire lead

3. Rotate the gray bulb holder counter-clockwise about 45 degrees and pull the holder out of the lamp housing

4. Replace bulb (remember: the LEDs are polarity sensitive so test them out before putting everything back together again).

5. After testing to ensure that the bulb works, screw the bulb holder back into the lamp housing, and replace the lamp housing by inserting it right side (passenger) first, compressing the spring built into the lamp housing and then snapping the left side (driver) in.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone compared the amp draw of the LED dome lights to the OEM incandescents?

I don't have hard numbers but I assure you it is way less. Do a Google search for "led vs incandescent power draw".

I do know this. I can leave my LEDs domes on about 10X longer than the OEM bulbs without draining the battery.

I just might have to score some LED from you. I run Solstice LED spots for night riding on my DS Husqvarna. Talk about DAYLIGHT! The LED draws way less than stock, no Stator rewind needed. I can assure anyone that has the question about the draw from power difference is really low compared to stock and or HID.

I bought a set of lights for my 80 and 100 series and Paul was awesome. Had some questions and he quickly took care of them. The lights are pretty slick as well

Paul,

These LEDs are AWESOME!!! Your customer service was second to none. This is a no-brainer for any 80 owner. They were so easy to install and make one hell of a difference. This is also my wife's favorite mod so far...well except the snorkel of course. Also, the reverse LEDs make my daily driveway experience MUCH better. These lights rock. I can't thank you enough for putting the time and effort into developing and sourcing these. Also, thank you for making them available to the 80s and not stopping with just the 100s.
