Here is a picture of the front. Shouldn't be a problem getting to the bolts and getting the DS out.

ok looks like Im swapping out my iron pig well done boys.

Get in line I just ordered:flipoff2:and that my friends is no April 1 joke! 👍

Anyone of interest should not procrastinate. Good chance Hudd will soon determine the cost is too low on something of this quality. I have seen it happen here many times over the years including myself.

With welding and zinc coating done at such a low price I see no reason anyone would buy the DYI but thats just me.

the IROR has done its job for years, no probs EXCEPT when I need to pull the front DS then its a bitch. plus new design looks serious.

This skid is no joke! Installed mine the other day and first impressions of mine are "well engineered" and "beefy." Clearly this thing has some thought laid out to it to protect the bits and bobs needing protection. Sturdy enough that this will slide over the accidental Prius and through the rock garden but forgiving enough with the "skid" that my head won't hurt when I inevitably hit it (hey! The factory one has sharp corners).

Install was easy and is a .5 banana job. A floor jack is very helpful as is about 30 minutes of your time to install and drink a beer.

Finish looks good and bridges the gap between raw and powdercoated.

No pictures but I'll be sure to add some once I can in the next couple days.

Well done, @cjmoon.

Thank you, it means a lot coming from you. You have very nice product offerings. That people have to live up to your standard and be held accountable on oncoming products, not going to lie. That thought crossed my mind several times as I looked at my design criteria and what was needed to make this product a go. My original product thought/concept didn’t have frame hardware, original could be used right on the borderline of thread engagement in my book. Cheap hardware would not be acceptable . grade 10.9 flanged head, the right over sized washers only made since, and are not cheap even in bulk.

Just ordered mine too :flipoff2:. Totally agree on getting the fully welded / zinc coated.

At first I was going to just weld it myself but it's cost prohibitive for me to do that and then have an inferior coating of paint since I don't have access to zinc coating.

Agree the price is good.

I have zero issue paying for quality, but leaving a comment reccomending they arent charging enough is king of a d&^% move. lol

Blame @LandCruiserPhil he pointed it out about the zinc coating. I was all for the diy.

Please don't report me.

We need pictures:)

FYI - We are down to only one of each left. After these two are gone, its a 2 week wait on the DIY and 4-5 weeks on the welded/coated version.

Thanks everyone,

David
