‘Triple locked’ makes as much sense as ‘hot water heater’. They are common phrases that don’t actually mean anything.

I find it interesting that the 80s are now seen as investments. But I'll admit 5-6 years ago that white truck would have likely been a $6k-$7k truck, so clearly the clean, unmolested ones are bringing a premium. Just an interesting observation.

Not getting in on the locker conversation, different strokes, but I will keep an eye out for you.

ASP 40ths have commanded the highest re-sales of any 80s I've seen, but that color/package may be wearing thin...dunno.

As I’ve said time and time again, look for the cleanest, well maintained 80 you can find with ZERO rust. As soon as one pops up be ready to buy as they will not last long. Other options can be added later down the road. The K294 option shouldn’t be a deal killer. Both Locked and unlocked trucks that are clean will sell for the same money now and down the road.

^^^the two @G-Cat listed are a good example. Triple locked CE $11k; clean white non-locked $11k

When I was shopping for my 80 I distinctly remember passing up several very clean trucks but I passed on them due to not being “triple locked.” Fast forward a few years and I wish I would have bought the cleanest vehicle I could find and not paid a premium for factory lockers. I’ve never been in a situation where I’ve needed Both lockers. Besides, the Toyota lockers are slow to lock and half the time you have to drive in circles and back up and drive forward and do a backflip for them to then unlock.

all 3 80's in Team Tolleson are 3xlocked but if I needed or wanted another and needed and wanted lockers a set of Harrop's would be a win. Toyota lockers are getting old and tired...

Taking the hard line on Golden Crack with my 1996 with only an ole Aussie Locker in the rear

To the "general public" buyers (generally not 'MUD participants) who are looking to off-road any at all, they're going to find value in lockers. For resale, I think you're going to deter a certain number of people who "have to have" lockers. For those who don't care, they'll still be OK with buying one that has them. Mine have always worked quickly and properly.

For resale down the road, I wouldn't consider buying one without them.
