This is why you want to check your main wiring bundle by the EGR pipe. I caught it in time before it did any real damage on this 150k mile 1FZ and the fix was easy. Much longer and it would have been a real pain!

The LX450 is at Dons Auto Upholstery here in Memphis today. Getting Landcruiser Heaven front skins installed. They did the Interior in the 68 Camaro my dad and I built. They are amazing with the older cars... Hoping they do the LX well. Having them repair some of the ripped foam, and the foam that is smooshed by the switch on the driver side from entering and exiting to hopefully get the seats looking brand new. That way they'll fill out the leather instead of looking like a little guy in a large suit. Forgot to take before photos. :/

Thanks man! Steering wheel for the 80 and 100 are next.

So...

...how much $$$ ?

The front seat leather skins came with the truck. They're from LandCruiser heaven. I looked online and they're like $700-$800, but the previous owner just included them with the sale. It was $550 for dons to install them. They rebuilt the foam in the crushed spots so they had full shape and looked better.

Cool, looks great. Does the new foam feel better?

Feels brand new. And it's my original foam. I'm not sure what they did. But the area to the left of where your butt cheek is gets crushed after countless exits and entries. They built it back up and filled in the cracked foam in places. It filled in the leather skins and made it so they weren't loose like some I've seen. Feels like a brand new seat. Super glad I went to dons instead of messing with it myself

Would any of you happen to have a pair of rims like on my 95 FZJ80, need them for my trailer.

Only had an hour to work on the truck today but I was able to get the knuckles packed and closed up. I replaced the original axle with OEM replacement shaft and Terrain Tamer birfields. The original spindles weren't in bad shape but I went ahead and upgraded the spindles to 105 series spindles.

What is the benefit of the 105 spindles? Guess I missed that memo

105 spindles have an inner roller bearing in addition to a brass bushing rather than the 80 series just having a brass bushing.

I gotcha, I had heard about the rollers vs. the bushing, guess I didn't realize that was a 105 spindle.

Hey y'all. Anyone have any idea of what could cause tire "cupping?" Got lots of high and low spots on my tires. My first thoughts are shocks. Could it be anything else? My tie rod ends could be replaced as they're probably the original ones. My shocks are the TJM adjustable foam cell tiger shocks. They may be bad though.

Wouldn't think bad shocks would cause cupping. Likely either poor caster or steering is out. How does it drive? And have you had it aligned to check the numbers.
