  1. I began working on the rebuild of my 1FZ this past weekend while the weather was nice. I got three main caps checked with plastigage before I dropped the bearing for the #3 cap. I ordered a new one from @beno and will resume when it arrives. Below are some pictures. I have never done this type of work, but have been reading a lot of threads and the FSM. I'll post more as the work progresses.

Thanks to @orangefj45 and Valley Hybrids for the trans and case. I'm trying to make some room on the barn so I can get this project in a higher gear.

Had forgotten about this little simple drawer system for the old Lexus. When the fridge wasn't in that place had a piece that went over it to make it a drawer and have a completely flat surface up top. This was before the other drawer on the left had been built and installed.

I've got a buddy down NOLA with a '97 80 and a leaky spitting 1fz-fe engine.

Any advice on who to take it to for a rebuild or where to find a swap??

Earned my official 80 series road side mechanic badge tonight when the heater control valve fractured on the way home from work.

Yeah. You had no heat in Arkansas. I remember
Yep, it was cold as balls in there to with no heat. Luckily I bought a new control valve a few weeks ago to try and solve my heat issue and it was in the truck. But still no heat. Gonna flush the heater core with CLR and see if that helps.
