Anyone got some 80 series birfs laying around? At least one is clicking on the LX and want to change them out before we have a failure. I will eventually swap them out to chromoly axles but for now stock will work (unless you have a set of chromoly laying around you want to let go for cheap. ;) )

Bumper installed, winch mounted, led interior lights installed very productive day in cruiser land. 1997 stock bumper up for grabs.

Thats a nice ARB bumper from 49 Tire!

My search mojo is not working well this morning. Anybody know of a thread on rebuilding the power steering pump on a 3fe? Time to fix this damn leak on the AK truck.

I don't, but, as I'm sure you know, the 80 3 link topic has gotten fire hot over the past few months.

There's an active thread on pirate where a guy just finished linking the front of his 80 using a land speeder type 9.5" front axle and hellfire knuckles. It's completely bad ass. I don't know if he used this kit or fabbed his own, but the design looks very similar. I'm eager to see what these guys end up doing on the rear axle. Eventually somebody's gonna run coilovers up through the floor in the back :)

I'm going to play devils advocate here and say the 80 series suspension, albeit limited in certain areas, will outperform the vehicle it carries.

Unless I was building one to go fast, there is no way I would go to the effort to get a 5000# rig 2" of additional droop

:smokin:
I don't what all that means but it sounds awesome...

I don't know about any of the 80's you've had, but the current suspension on mine will not do this:
