Best of luck. I got zero replies. Maybe 80 owners don’t have a 3D printer? 😂

There's plenty of folk that have 3d printers or access to them.

If you want to 'give value', then pick your favourite 3D modeling program and design stuff and then post up the files for everyone to share...

I use solidworks since both my mechie sons can drive the tool well and I can always 'ask for help' to design something that's beyond my rudimentary skillset. Solidworks for 'makers' is pretty cheap if you knock a few designs together each year.

Here's just a couple of things that have worked out really well (the orange brackets):

@george_tlc I'm still too cheap for $50 a year 😆 That said, FreeCAD is finally turning into a borderline mature program. It's got its quirks, but every version is improving by leaps and bounds.

@tattoo80 and @Dlathem , I think more than a few of us have printers, but I don't have models for your parts.

SendCutSend made both pieces. Here they are installed, with the one with the studs inside the RTT channel, and the other clamping the load bar. Honestly, anything I could have bought was subpar and just as expensive...

3D Printing allows custom manufacturing, and with vendors like SendCutSend allows custom metal fabrication.

Man that is too cool! I had no idea that even existed.

Maybe 80 owners don’t have a 3D printer?
are you referring probably the most resourceful bunch of people on the planet (80's owners) not being able to harness 3D printing?
meh, i dunno about that!

How about the plastic ring that goes around the ignition. Anyone making these?

Those original ones must all be toast on rigs by now...at least in the warmer year around climates.

Ask and you'll receive!! Thanks!! Just purchased that and a cool led map light.

So I have been adamant about the only place Toyota fails is their lack of cupholders. Especially in the 80. I need hydration! So I recently got a 3D printer and thought, hmmm... I can solve this!

I started with a pretty simple design based on one I saw on Maker World. But it didn't fit right, the lid to the console was hard to open, AND NONE OF MY CUPS OR BOTTLES WOULD FIT! It also left something to be desired in the visual department as well. First order of business was making a Nalgene fit, which was harder than I thought.

Next was form.

Finally, I wanted the fitment to be premium- pressure fit into the cupholder so you don't have to worry about your drinks spilling, but you could remove it if you wanted to. Also no drilling. All of the other cupholder solutions require drilling, and honestly I don't want to do that. What if I want to go back to stock at some point? I change my mind like most people change their underwear haha.

On attempt #4, I got all 3! So behold..... The SuperFancy Cupholder!!!!

It will fit all LHD 91-94 80 series with the square cupholder on the side of the center console. It is made of PETG (for now! I am experimenting with PETG-CF and ASA right now also). Should be a perfect blend of UV and heat resistance to keep my excessive amounts of caffeine and water stable on road trips, because no one like a lap full of bev. lol.

The are up for pre-order at **PRE-ORDER** 91-94 80 Series SuperFancy Cupholder — Red Dog Overland - https://www.reddogoverland.com/shop/p/pre-order-91-94-80-series-superfancy-cupholder if you want to pick one up! I will most likely be shipping first or second week of July. I am just tweaking some color options right now!

holla if you have any questions!! They will be available in cocoa and black to start!

Great job! I've always thought it would be nice to have an arm rest to plug into that square cup holder pocket. Is there any chance you could design something like that with your 3D printer?
