I hope it works out... we'll see.

Sold an 80 last year on ebay... actually just dropped it off one night at a hotel where the guy was coming to to pick it up... never met the guy. Just left it there never to be seen again. Sad drive home for me. His drive home to CO was probably a lot more fun.

Looking for a 45 . . .

Andy, I think you and I were separated at birth! A 45 is on my mind these days too. It would kind of fill in the fleet. (Been using my 100 to haul concrete pavers lately)

Glad to hear you sold the 80!

I'll be at Ocracoke April 7-14 if you're looking to do some surf fishing for puppy drum.

Thanks David, it was a sad day. I still remember coming up to Asheville with Kim in my 100 and following her all the way home in your old 80. Man, that was a great truck and I have had seller's remorse the last few days. A 45 pickup would go a long way to cure the blues. :D

I'd love to join you at OBX. That's usually the week I am there but it looks like we'll miss you by a week. We don't arrive until Saturday, April 21st.

If you have the time / cycles and want to fish the gulf stream, let me know. I'll put you in touch with the Capt. we use. He's a great guy and widely regarded at the best deep water captain anywhere. He's been working out of Hatteras for 30+ years. Last year we came back to the marina with over 400lbs. of tuna, dolphin and wahoo.

We found a great deal on a Cottage on Ocracoke

its brand new, has a big screen TV, and an indoor hot tub! Located near the main ramp to get to the point for some beach driving and surf fishing!

I'll post up some pics during the week

And I don't arrive there until two weeks later. Sounds like OBX will be a busy place for UC members this year.

Wahhh, I wanna gooooo!
Booked through April and May 19th. Any other weekend until late July anyone wants to go let me know. I have 4day weekends May 12th and June 16th.
Somebody? Anybody?

Update: The 100 is tentatively sold. I will more firmly update this thread, including the 1st post when the transaction is completed.

Also - David, if you read this before you head to OBX tomorrow, the puppy drum surf fishing has been out of sight. I talked to a few people during the week that say it's the best they've ever seen. The arriving cold front may cool the bite a bit but it sounds like you're in store for some rod bending action!!

and tentatively bought. Unless Andy paints it purple or puts spinners on it, I'm looking forward to flying up on the 28th and driving it home. Glad it's staying in the UC family! Gonna be a good Cullowhee/Camping rig for the family. Alone, I'll always be in the 40 (when it runs).

Sold my 100 a couple of weeks ago and have been "bonding" with the 40 as a daily driver. So far so good. Only setback was a cracked radiator and better that happens in town than on the trail. It's actually running better than ever...

LOL, no purple paint and spinners. That's the plan for my work car.

I am glad it's staying in the UC family too!!

Great Cullowhee / Camping rig and the seat heaters are always a hit with the :princess:!!

Maybe... but I need sliders even more!

Let me get a look at the ones on the truck first. May be that they are "beaten" up enough that if anything I need pretty ones to take to the mall. :D

Sliders are in order for sure.

They are actually not beaten up that bad. Definitely worthy of mall duty. A center cap did get shredded at Tellico last year though. Since been replaced with new...

Well, I picked Steen up at the airport and just watched him drive away in the 98 100.

Definitely a bummer. Had a great last week with it at OBX.

It was a great vehicle and I'm going to miss it.

I am really glad it stayed in the club and is going to a good home.

Now the search begins for the next acquisition...

Andy... it's still a great vehicle. Had a great ride home. Thanks for the hospitality and hopefully we'll (me and the truck) will see you on the trail soon!
