Nice body work. Have you done body work before this project? I have some experience with MIG, but no TIG or body work. You inspire me if this is your first.

Thanks, Letterman52!

Now I have to check out MIG welders just to know the diff.

Well finished the transmission tunnel. Starting cleaning up the holes in the dash. Moving the headlight switch over to the center. Leaving just enough for the choke, vintage air, hazard, and wipers.

Well she is all back together for the most part. Fried my voltage regulator not paying attention when I hooked the battery back up. Other than that she’s about to go to paint and get bed liner inside the tub. Decided on Heath Gray. Also say this on Pinterest so I’m going to fab up a box for the backside to enclose the sub.

What are your thoughts for the rest of your sound system? I am also rebuilding a 75, and I am torn on what direction to go.

Good question. So I bought the kick panel boxes from SOR for the front.

FJ40 and FJ55 Stock Radio, Speakers and Brackets

Putting Polk Audio DB521. Polk 5.25" Coaxial Speakers in those.

Then using the same speaker in the back using these brackets I’m working on right now. Pic attached.

Then the kicker sub in the box I just posted.

Pioneer DEH3400UB headunit I’ve seen fits the stock location so I have that waiting to be installed.

Currently looking at Marine grade amps for the sub.

Well gave the ole girl one last treat before she goes for her rejuvenation. Got some quick hinges from 69LC. Really nice when you buy something and it just works.

Quick guide I used:

Quik Hinge Installation

His for sale link:

Quik Hinges available

Install was pretty on par without any real surprises. Defiantly a tight fit upside the “A” pillar.
