What have yall used to mount your stereos? This 40 has a tongue that juts out under the stereo.

That’s what I did. I found a blind nut on the bulkhead, ran a bolt in from the engine compartment side, to make a stud. That carries the weight of the unit.
I mounted a mahogany plank (that I got from the crate a crashed Huey from South America was shipped in) across the top (door to door) by the windshield. I think I notched it for the wiper motor.
