It was pretty dry today,so I decided to bring the 55 home,so I could have more time with her.Barely fit in the garage with the spare now on.Got the tire carrier and bumper painted, now for the super undercoating so she can go play in the snow.I think I will go through the truck and replace all leaky seals and have no leaks!Happy Holidays Mudders

speedo cable

I spent my Friday night under the Cruiser.Need to replace the output seal on the TC.My speedometer does not work and since im in there,I thought I could look at the TC end of the cable for broken parts or stripped pieces. Has anyone had their speedo cable fail in this spot.Should I take that housing off the end of the TC and clean it up.Happy Holidays

Finished the knuckle rebuild on the 60,so back to the 55.Hamma,did you machine the lip for 2 output seals? That sounds like a great idea.I guess I will buy the plastic gear to replace the old in the speedo housing.Any suggestions on which gear to buy for 33" tires

e brake

Checked my speedo gear and it looks good, turns fine. The first 12" section of cable works fine.So my problem is further up the line.Replaced seal and buttoned everything back up and got the e brake working nice.Took it out to dinner tonight and still no leakage. Can actually keep the truck running and get out with the sweet e brake.Next, rear pinion seal.Happy Holidays:wrench:

Nothing to report champ? I keep checking for an update you've got nada for me.

I had a mid life break down, and sold the pig for scrap so I could buy a woman the ring she wanted. Then I had to kill her.So no woman no 55.Good story uh

wow. That sounds very nice. Good for you!

Well thats what might have happened....if I were a sucker.Needless to say,Hagisch(yes thats the 55s new name)is safe and sound in a warm,dry garage.It hasn't been over 15 degrees for a week.Damn inversion.

Welded some tabs on the basket to mount the LP.Now I need a cool little light for it,to be legal.Traded my 60 for a 40 so time will be split with the 55.Any ideas for LP light. Thanks

Someone had posted some little LED's that double as the license plate bolt (mounting bolt)

Search the Summit Racing catalog.

I believe that was lil John. Those were nifty little things

Here's what I did. Although it is a little too "bling" for a piggie.

No worries. If it's anything like my other trucks I'll be too afraid to get it dirty or break something!

I do indeed, see attached. I'm getting married in May and will be picking this up afterward. In the meantime, it's been stored in a family friend's barn. Guess it's my wedding gift from "me" to "me". Guess I also better get something nice for the wife. :-)
