another piece of the puzzle is in hand.....

that's a 38.5 x14.5 - 15 Swamper SX on a 15" Allied beadlock....compared to a 39.5 x 13.5 - 17 unmounted Swamper IROK.

noice

the 38.5's? sold....4 are in Kansas City already, last one being delivered during RoundUp.

Not going to build an axle like this at all! just was curious about the componets used. I do have two mini axles that i will probably be doing custom disc brakes on soon.

LOL, stick the balloon tire on a rim. :) i guess maybe the 17" rim can try and save it.

wow looks like way more than a 1" difference in tire heights. if you could... give us an actual height on the iroks when you get them mounted.

I just did the crossmember under my 700 Yesterday... I'm jealous how low you're able to put your driveline.. my tranny mount is approx. 3" higher than yours, Woody. Next round, when I get a 300 or something that can be clocked flat, I'll drop the driveline down.. right now, I need the height to get the skidplate nearly flat. (it's against the frame up front, tapering to 1.5" down at the rear, 40" long skid)

I thought that watching paint dry was considered real excitement in Wis douing the winter

s***

my luck continues....I thot being ready for RoundUp was gonna be tuff before, it may now be impossible....

My beautiful 1350 front 32-spline yoke and the equally nice High Angle Driveline upper shaft section is nothing more than an oversize paperweight....there is ZERO clearance at the front flange for a 1350 joint, much less the 2-1/2" diameter shaft. It was almost comical. (13-1/8" from flange face to center of joint cap)

Pics below are of a 1310 32-spline flange and a 2" diameter tube....with some trim work on the corner of the tranny housing and a little grinding on the tube yoke, it clears tightly, but will work.

IMO, it is impossible to run any joint other than a 1310 at the D300 front output unless you either A> clock the t-case down a LOT, or B> clock it UP a ton so the shaft is over the pan area....either is less than desirable.

fawk.

oh yeah, one other irritations....the TrailReady rims I ordered in mid-January are likely gonna be ready in late March....pretty sure my tires will work best with rims....

We did work up a possible plan B, set of Allieds that can be shipped out on Monday.....

again, fawk....been a bitch of a week.....

Nice needle bearings..

How bout a toyota flange on the D300?

Actually, I bet if your D300/700R4 adapter was longer you would be cool.

And I want you to refrence post # 153 :flipoff2:

Man, you sound like you have my luck now..

Hope it stays in Wis for the weekend so I can get my junk running ;)
