almost feels like Christmas...

first is my care package from Advance Adapters....LoMax 4:1, pimpin twin stick, and the D300 rebuild parts.

second pic is the pimpin tranny cooler, B&M HiTek from SummitRacing...

Still to come, 32-spline front output from JB Conversions and the 32-spline rear AA output from HighAngleDriveline, along with a VERY pimpin 2-piece front shaft and some new t-cases flanges/yokes....

it's possible it will be a VERY VERY VERY busy weekend...hehehe

Looks like fun Brian!

Where si the front shaft??

get a measurment on the tranny/tcase length. Novak says 27" with a D300.

I am wondering how much longer an atlas is. my current setup is approx 37" lol

you want your rear links to be the same length as the rear DS right?? ;)

27? no fn way....

try 37" or less....mine, from the back of the 350 to the rear output yoke, is 36.5 or so...it aligns pretty well with the upper frame-side mount of my 4-link (good enuf!)

What are you doing for the speedometer?

I have a buddy putting in a 383/th400/np203 combo in his 60 and is wonder how to adapt the speedometer cable to the 203? BTW, he's not doing the 203/205 combo. He's using the whole fricken heavy SOB/np203. :D

BTW, looking good!

Just for a bit of input on the th400/203.

This setup is one if not the hardest setup to find, th400 takes to much power use, and the 203 is less then ideal in strength and reliablity.

th350/203 is alot more common,

but of course a 205 to either setup would work also.

He already has the th400/203.

speedo's are overrated...I haven't run one in 2 years. I rely on the tach and traffic speeds for those rare instances I'm on the road, and use an hour-meter to schedule maintenance. It would take me 3 years to put on 3000 miles on this rig, but 50 hours of idle/crawl time comes up quicker than ya think.

engine installed last night, working on things tonight...mostly finish welding and paint, pretty boring stuff....

Lazy..

Does the d300 not have a speedo thingy (technical term)?
I'm following your thread and throwing a price guide together. Thinging about going d300 with my 420. That way I only replace half of the drivetrain :D

the D300 does have a speedo thingie, and I'll use it to drive a VSS....but I've always considered the speedo itself a useless item...lol

lol...half...lol IMO, unless you see a need for front dig purposes (and a desire to install a centered rear axle), drop in the Orion HD....had I not been making the switch to the auto at the same time, that would have been my first choice.

I was looking at the toybox awhile back but changed my mind like I do once a week. Eventually I will end up replacing everything....yay.
I really want to do the 700R4 route but there’s no way being in college for the next 16 years. Granted when I finally get to this step 20 years from now it might be more possible. My plans are to slowly look for the stuff I need and put it together back at home as I find change in the parking lots.
If I sneak down for the end of the Roundup I'll see yours and go back to the auto again.
Still need to do a OBW before spring break and LF diy beadlocks this summer before I get to this step

this weekend was lotsa finish weld work and little crap...mounted the tranny cooler, removed the rear axle and finished welding up the bracketry on there...some other little things too....very little worth photographing....

hope to get a few more pics this week, more work on the rear axle to finish up, and the t-case rear output should be arriving so that can get assembled too.

Would love to see your finished motor mounts and tranny cross member. I am thinking of doing something very similiar, as I am not real happy w/ the AA motor mount.

Oh yes-

Things are looking good Brian! Hope to see more pics soon!

Yep, things are looking good, I know how the little things that take time do not seem worth taking photos.

Your welds are starting to look darn near pro, good work.
