It's close guys!! So close. @paflytyer and I are ready too. Enough planning already, let's do this thing. Don't forget items: pillow, rain jacket, rain boots, snacks, camera and a little bit of patience (in case something unplanned occurs). This is the biggest year yet and we cannot wait.

About this time last year, I had a built 3rd gen 4Runner. I started noticing 100 series and found pics of HIH on the web. Did some research and found out more info about the event. I then decided I was going to go to HIH the next year, but I needed a 100 series first. Started looking, did a lot of research and finally in October on the same exact day, 10/10/16. I sold my 4Runner and bought my LC. My LC was 100 % stock from the original owner. I have been dumping money into it for the last 9 months straight. I am almost done with my build and can not wait to meet all these folks that share such an affinity for 100 series land cruiser! Super stoked for the event!

Awesome pics! However there is no such thing as "almost done with my build", these trucks are a never ending build;)

I can relate, got the LX for the wife and now I'm hooked. S/C Tundra is gonna be sold (damn if I won't miss that bad boy) soon to get a Hundy LC and make it to HIH next year.

Thanks to @smakee and @RockdogAdventures for helping install the winch today!

Here's an in-progress pic. @smakee on left and myself on right.

Great day! Awesome lunch! Thanks Leon.

And we also got my fog lights working and my winch spooled, four broken zip ties, four broken paracord lines later....for anyone considering a Warn Zeon synthetic line winch, call me first.

I'm gathering a list of names / contact info for a Thurs. caravan from Phoenix via Flagstaff. Anyone interested can PM me.

Just finalized the route for our trip to Silverton. Heading out of Portland OR next Saturday. 3 nights in Tahoe for some mountain biking and paddle boarding before making the long haul across Nevada and Utah. One night in Utah at a state park then a hotel night in Grand Junction to rest up before rolling into Silverton on Thursday. Looking forward to meeting everyone! I'll be meeting up with Mark from Metal Tech this week to get the donated swag for the event. Sounds like some good stuff. He said he had "a few boxes" to send down.

Keep an eye out for us on the road!

If we're going up through Flagstaff, can I suggest traveling via Monument Valley area? It may add 30 minutes or so to the trip, but the views (and LC photo ops!) are worth it!
