I think most of the parts have been used up. There is one vendor, @65swb45 that rebuilds the early boxes but I don't think he sells parts for the box.

Thanks for the mention. Yes, I am still rebuilding the early boxes. I rebuilt @majdomo '71 box recently, and he is quite pleased with it. I'll be rebuilding one from a '63 in a couple of weeks.

And no, I am not offering steering box parts for sale.

Very happy is an understatement - my 40's steering has maybe 1/4" of play at the steering wheel after multiple trips offroad. It tracks far better than my 60 and it's always dead nuts on center. Handling is as good as it gets for a short wheelbase, top-heavy brick, lol. But seriously, having good, predictable handling and wheel placement makes me trust the rig a lot more, which is huge offroad and a big plus on road.

If you are going to have it rebuilt, do it before Mark is out of parts and they are gone gone. There is at least one part in particular that is unique to this box that is probably shot, and it's impossible to find any new. It's likely Mark's done more of these than anyone else out there, expertise combined with unobtainum parts makes it really worthwhile to have him work on your stuff.
