Truck looks great.

Here’s a post about the bug catcher rubber:

Awesome!! Thank you sir !
can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate the help!

Your doing a great job on this rig, learning is the best part! And as you can tell, there’s a lot of interest in these from the mud community, especially ones with the family history like yours. Love those winter pics.

Is that unit behind the transfer case how the Ramsey winch gets it power? Looks like there has to be change to the parking brake with that. And have you tried the fit of the original tranny tunnel with the column shift linkage in place? I found that with the top shifting tranny (vice the original side shifting tranny) that there was interference.

This may give you a better idea what I’m dealing with. The tranny tunnel was I believe cut a little to make this work. I left that all as it was. Not trying to change to much from what my uncle had. I still call it his truck and like the idea of certain things not being perfect but being the way he liked it. If that makes sense. Haha
And yes that is what controls the pto. I contacted Ramsey and they said it’s a
PTO-1. I have some cleaning up to do to the inside but it has always worked like the rest of the truck.

Also the VIN is 2-FJ45-12013

Did a shop in Idaho paint the truck? Looks great. Another early lily white truck pops up.
Mike

I love the Lily White. I have a 65 FJ45 SWB that is green currently. Considering the Lilly White or a stock blue, cannot think of the name. Your truck looks great! Well done

My bad, looks like you still have the original side shifting tranny, so you should be good to go with tranny hump fitment, etc. And you have the stock parking break setup on the transfer. That pto setup is cool. Great stuff!

Your one unit earlier then Jim C’s rig (different owner now).

Does anyone know where my best chance for find weather stripping for my FJ45 would be?? Besides the bug catcher and rear windows. Those are another deal I know.
I need it for the doors mainly !!

also is there a company that would custom make a seal if I have the original??
I have both the bug catcher and rear sliding but not sure if someone can reproduce them?

Great!!! Thanks for the help!!
cruiser outfitters can’t help with the bug catchers anymore apparently. He is out of that material and doesn’t plan to get more.

Then us bugcatcher guys are SOL.

If that’s a picture of yours, that’s about as good as I’ve seen them. Rub it with something glycerin based and reuse.

What an awesome rig and family history. Looking great. I'm a new guy here. Always been a mini truck guy but, I'm getting a bug for these Cruisers. That can't be good.

I’ve got a handful of FJ45 items I’m not needing with my rig and would like to sell. Any suggestions on location within MUD to create a thread. It’s not anything specific. Some body parts and many other miscellaneous parts.
Thanks in advance! I will also copy the thread to this one incase anyone is interested.

I'd be interested in any parts your want to get rid of, you can send me a PM if you want.
Paul
