There was a 55 on the tv show Scrubs the other night. (wife makes me watch it) was the highlight of the show

oh, fj, what are we gonna do with ya? that was the first time i'd seen a pig in a movie...the mom drove it! i got the vhs if you need to borrow it;)

Ige,

Refresh my memory.....did the grandfather use a 45 or somethin' to kill the head vampire at the end? My first view of seeing a pig too but I remember the grandfather was driving some beast!

...the grandfather was driving a Dodge M37 power wagon:D

Except for the inclusion of the Dodge at the end, the "Lost Boys" is a good film (a young K. Sutherland is in it) with a great pig (blue and white is it?) but for my money "The Mist" has the best role for a pig ever. Mutant monsters, mysterious mist and murderous mayhem are no match for a 55 that wears its surface rust like a badge of honor. There is even one part where the hero is about to face certain death and turns to the tearful love-interest, gently places his keys in her hand, looks deep into her eyes and says, "If I don't come back, take the LAND CRUISER and get out of here." I almost fell out of my chair.

And that's not even counting the pig's key performance in the last act of the movie which I will not mention (spoiler risk). This movie is a must-see. The 55 in "Slow Burn" is the best part of the film as well, but that's not saying much. At least the film ends with the empty pig driving off to leave Minnie Driver and the villian to die in the desert.

I am honored to be able to hire Scorcher to save my pig. I'm making a documentary of the process that should be of interest to everyone on this board (and anyone who loves classic cars). Jason is simply an amazing craftsman.

Movie. We're shooting it on HD going stage-by-stage with the resto. I was there In Sept to shoot the body after sandblasting, with Jason explaining how he would address each of the issues. Soon I fly back to CO to shoot the finished work (sort of a "before" and "after" approach) and some interviews. We also shot some great footage in this cool boneyard nearby.

Don't know wether this will be a festival project or strictly for the classic car community to ogle. So far I'm very pleased with it.

And I have come to learn that I am not wired to be a blogger. Maybe if I wasn't doing the film I could get excited about it but comparatively it's pretty boring...

Just was watching Night of the Comet-There's a Green and White FJ55 at the Weird Bloodsuckers base.

EDIT: OMFG they blew it the hell up!

I am sure i remember a blue and white one in the movie "Jackie Brown" and it was this blue and white vehicle that gave me the inspiration for the current paint scheme.

We only go a couple of colour schemes in Australia as far as two-tone went. Brown and white being the most common, caramel and white (mine originally) and green and white. Otherwise just white it seems. Didn't you guys get grey and white over there aswell.

There is a blue and white FJ55 driving around Whitehorse in what looks to be the late 70s, early 80s, in a documentary made about the construction of the AK Highway.

"Red Hill" (2010)...low-budget Oz Western/Cop movie. I just got it out of redbox.
30 mins in there's a nice RHD one-tone olive drab Pig, 75 & later, with a big bullbar.
I think there's a 60 with barn doors too. I'm only about 30 mins into it...

Yup. Mentioned several times in this thread already. Here's a pic, lights and everything.

Not a movie, but a piggy in product placement

I purchased a MSR water filter for camping and one of the product marketing cards has a picture of a few folks around a campfire with a white 55 behind them.

They're up on the rim of a canyon, the 55 has a custom looking roof rack. The scene looks photoshop'ed but the Pig placement was cool to see..

Love me some pig!
