i didn't do this setup, i opened the pin hole and put 40 series bushings and pins (shortened) in. like that idea because with two 40series, i always have pins and bushings around

Yep, this is what I did. 40 bushings push right in.

So does this mean, the easiest route to take is use the 40 bushings and pins? No drilling, no cutting, just press the new bushings in and use the new pin. That's all?

i've had to ream all the ones i did with a drill bit, but it's a light ream. then you have to cut the pins down to length and round the tip.

Yes they are easy to remove, total different hinge than 55. I just got back from buying some Napa hinges, for the 55, my cost $5.49 a kit.

Just as easy as installing fender patch panels.

I haven't tried to remove a door since I put 40 pins in. I don't suppose it would be hard to knock the pin out. Can't remember well and brain is fried right now, but think the hinge won't actually seperate because of the open stay pieces...

dab gumbet. spose it's for the best, as I have too many projects anyway, starting with some fender patches(sorry Bob, I's waitin till I wouldn't be rushed, so I could do justice to your work. can't put good art in a walmart frame if ya know what I mean. But I can understand you wanting for them to be put to use)

This help part number if you don't have a napa close... 38397 the kit if for a nissan pickup from like 87 to 94 hard body. .
