All you do is ground the (green) wire I believe (can look at mine and confirm color on mine). I did this on mine and it fools the locker ecu to thinking it is in low... You can put a switch on the ground so you or anyone can't accidentally actuate them. easy 1 banana job..

So with the 7 pin mod and center switch it doesn't matter I have already by passed it. It will work like it does now with total control.

Looks like a pretty sweet build. I wouldn't mind coming up and seeing that sucker when you get done with it.

Hope that's sooner than latter. Time frame is about two months. We'll see

Been out of town for a week so no real progress but made it to cummins tonight to get seal kits ordered to go through the external parts and make sure there are no oil leaks

Got my new to me turbo. Delivered. Need to check play radial play may be a little much. It's an HX30 with a 6cm turbine housing. Have an external Tail 38mm wastegate coming my way to help control this little guy.

Plan on finish welding motor mounts and coil overs. And working with the oil pan to make sure there's more than enough clearance.

With the engine out I could get a better picture of how the driver side coilover mount ended up with clearance for the steering shaft. Fits like a glove.

Does any one know why the rear and front left brake lines go all the way to the front of the cruiser?

I got one with the grinder when removing the mounts on the frame an I think I am going to run them down the fire wall and clear up some space on the inner fender. The only thing I could think o on the left front is equal length. Runs for the abs system reaction to equal out both sides?

Interesting....

I hope to high hell I don't have to do that with my truck of towers!

BTW, excellent wheel choice. Ran the same wheel on my 84 FJ60 and am after the same thing on my new FJ80.

Cheers

Opps. I corrected. Put passenger but the coilover mount mentioned is driver side. I have the cruiser backed into the garaged for the swap which is abnormal and messing with my mind

I think your theory is correct. Equal lengths for timing, just like injector lines on a Diesel engine.

Clearanced the pan. The oil pickup tube was tight against the front of the sump. I heated it up and bent it toward the rear of the engine. Got some welding done on the engine and coilover mounts. Also started thinking about brake lines. I bought a 51" section to keep the longer run but run it tight to the fire wall on the front left line. I will have to run a coil to use it up.... Will be making the real line shorter and run down the fire wall. That should clear up a little of the front inner fender. Started looking at power steering lines and Toyota is using a standard inverted flare hydraulic fitting on the gear box. so I will be able to have a local fittings dealer make me a hose. I did have to change out the power steering pump fitting on the stock dodge setup. A long time ago I realized that a few of the jeeps I had used an inverted flare and a few used o-ring type fitting. Luckily that old jeep fitting is Saginaw and will swap into most pumps. The only real difference is a brass piece that presses into the fitting on the pump to covert to an inverted flare. Will probably have to make a few of these in the future when this one wears out.

I have a pn somewhere that should be toy box to an. Then its easy to make a hose.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using IH8MUD

RE: PS hose- Use a 98-02 dodge cummins hydroboost pressure hose off the pump. Install an M16X1.5 helicoil in the end (it threads right in) then bolt up your existing Toyota PS pressure hose with the old Banjo bolt. The hoses will sit nice and it's all off the shelf parts.

I see what your saying. I'll keep that in mind. I really don't want two hoses if I can help it. I don't like the fact that the original runs forward and loops back. I work next to a hydraulic hose manufacture/distributor that makes custom hoses in about 5 min. might just have 2 made and have a spare. still cheaper than buying two original hoses one for toyota and one for dodge. but I had not thought of that options so it's good to mention. Thank You

LSPV discussion:

I have read many of the treads discussing this and with an ABS model isn't it kind of a double control feature? just let the ABS sensors do there job and delete a bunch of tubing/fittings and problematic air bubbles that probably decrease braking more?

I will post on a few of the discussions on LSPV discussions too.

I see the need for sure on non ABS equipped vehicles. kind of like most trucks having rear ABS only since the late 80's

I have read several folks that delete the ABS stuff and run lines straight to the master and love the change, saying that they have much more braking.

Not going to delete the ABS. Trying to make a family friendly wife can drive in bad weather if needed. I bought a 96 for airbags and ABS. If it was my toy yes it would all be gone and a truggy like your toy.
