This 4runner belongs to a really cool guy named Paul who we met towards the start of the trail. Started out as a 2WD. I like seeing people SASing newer 4runners and tacos and keeping it all yota :yesnod:

awesome rig man... looks a real weapon.

Real nice country you got there too

Thanks man. It gets around really well. Took a long time to work out all the kinks and get it where I wanted it. I love the wheeling in Northern California, its very peaceful out there. Rubicon is a great trail too for all difficulty levels so even stock trucks can make it through with some help here and there, and at the same time there are some wicked trails there.

Not many updates on the 4runner, just got it all ready for the snow :D

This is what has been occupying most of my time though lately... got an Axial AX10 RTR a few months ago and it is definitely as addicting as a full scale wheeler, just a lot cheaper :)

I only have about $400 into it including the initial $260 price tag. I put a lower motor in it (25 turn to a 55 turn), locked both axles, upgraded all the links to 30* bent aluminum links and swapped out some other plastic pieces for aluminum. Love this little thing...

Went to a Greenhorn Creek Cleanup day today hosted by the Friends of Greenhorn.

The area was actually pretty clean, a lot better scene than it was a year ago at this time. Only managed to fill about 3 trash bags but it was a successful mission I'd say.

The turn out (give or take a few rigs out collecting trash)

My buddy Ryan mashing the stocker, soon to have a Downey IFS long travel kit in the front, 33s and Deaver rear springs.

SUPER COOL PICS ..... and a BAD ASS runner, you make me miss mine

Very cool pics.

What's with the Corolla badge?

Thanks. The Corolla badge is off of my old 86 corolla. Basically I bought this 86 Corolla for $200 bucks with the intention of just rallying it until it died for a couple weeks. Ended up running it tough for 8 months, beating it as hard as possible every time I drove it. Swamped the engine, jumped it tough, crashed it rally style a few times going 35 mph+ and the damn thing would not die. After a while it was super trashed to the point I could not drive it to the trail anymore :D. Finally junked it but it still ran and drove. I kept the emblem and put it on my 4runner with the hopes that the invincible spirit of the 86 Corolla would live on in my 4runner :D

Went and played around in the snow today. There wasn't a whole lot, about 3 feet in the deepest areas but my rear tires (the leftover coopers) suck and are almost bald so I didn't have that much fun, traction was at a minimum so I didn't barge the Runner into any nasty deep powder. ::) Wasn't a bad trip though, the snow was perfect, real nice fresh powder.

The girlfriend wanted to play in the snow too so I let her mash around for a bit, she had a good time and I was impressed she only got stuck once, and was able to rock herself free! I'm so proud :clap2:

Did some more snow wheeling today, snow got a lot nastier as the day progressed, ended up spending more time doing extractions than wheeling.

This is the 5 foot mud/snow/ice hole that kept swallowing the rigs up, got two stuck and blew a bead on another.

Snow was above my tires pretty much the whole time, never got stuck myself though! Close but not quite :D
