Thanks man! I appreciate the feed back, I am happy my build can be inspiration to someone. Post up your pics when you are done with those half doors, I'd love to see em :D

Do you have a post for your 4runner or your old 60?

I wish there were places like that around here to wheel. That scenery is amazing, including some very nice looking Toyotas. I can't do anything to mine for awhile, I head out for basic in a few weeks so all I can do is watch you all have the fun wrenching.

Keep up the good work, the runner is coming along very nicely.

Thank you for your comments and your service my friend! I feel very fortunate to have places like this to wheel. Though California is constantly losing not only trails, but state parks are closing too because of budget problems. So even if I am not wheeling, maybe just camping or hiking, places like this are getting increasingly harder to access.

I must say though, this was my first time to Fordyce and it was simply breathtaking. I couldn't feel more at peace every time we stopped for a snack or a break.

So what are your plans for the 4runner? Going to keep it mild for now?

well it has 33"s on it already i like the size and performance already.

mechanically it is sound new motor and componenets under the hood.

i have a toyota rear elocker w/downey cable acctuator.

i am ready to put in a marlin crawler 4.70 transfer and rear bumper this month.

gonna install some 1.5" bjspacers to level out the front end this week.

a friend of mine and a i will be building some custom front bumpers and winch cradle for our minitrucks. i want my winch removable for this little truck.

my main goal is to keep it daily drivable and able to hit some trails as well.

our terrain around here is tough but we do not have the rocks you have in them pics.

Nice, that will definitely make your 4runner a lot more capable. the 4.7 gears were a BIG help when I was running 32s. That elocker will be nice too. I still DD my truck but its getting more and more "trail only" so I am trying to buy a cheap little corolla to commute to school with.

Nothing hardcore but in case anyone was looking for some ideas for their differential breathers, I thought I would show what I did with mine.

I picked up everything I needed at the local NAPA auto parts store. I just went through their different bins until I found the right fittings, gromits and hose clamps. Aside from the air filter (which now cost a whopping $7.99 each:rolleyes:) it shouldn't cost you any more than 5 bucks. The filters aren't mandatory though, I just use em because they are cleanable, work well and look bling bling :grinpimp:

Here is where I routed it in the front:

This is where I decided to route it in the back of my 4runner.

Go ahead, thought it would be worth sharing in case any one needed ideas :)

So anyway, like I mentioned we went to the 7th Annual Marlin Crawler Roundup last weekend. It was a blast. Met a ton of great people and had a really good time. It was all our first time to the Rubicon and we really liked the trail. I would like to get back there on a less packed weekend though, there was a lot of traffic on the trail (to be expected though hehe.

Here are the pics... didn't get many of my truck because I was driving all the time but I did get a few...
