So does this go on the top of the tranny cover? I have this hinged flap over my PTO opening, is this not OEM?
I'm guessing the piece you are selling is what I am missing from my setup......
If so, I will take the last one!

You have the OEM setup. These seals are for late model LandCruisers (1980's).

Thanks @Splangy, got it unwrapped today as I've been out of town & it appears to not fit my '76 . @Henry James the 47th would encourage you to know what you are selling as I now have something useless to me!

Sorry to hear that, however shifting the blame to me is not of much use. I know what I am selling, and I provided the Toyota part number in the listing, and here's the result from ToyDIY for that item:

As noted, it fits 40 series models from 1969 to the end of production. If Splangy is correct, then perhaps ToyDIY is wrong, however i have no idea about that one way or another.

I will remind you of the obvious: It's up to the buyer to do due diligence when buying a part. I provided all the information truthfully in the listing, and it's up to the buyer to decide if it is the right part for your vehicle. You know your vehicle best.

Diagram in the first post shows 8008 to 8210. That is the 81 and 82 model years. That also matches the only model years the cable shift linkage was used. I have a PTO/shifter/boot from 84 HJ47RV. It's not like this. All three are different. The PTO the shift lever is on the front not the back, the shifter and boot are completely different.

Okay, that's helpful info. I'll amend the first post to reflect that. It appears that ToyDiy's listing is incorrect then?

EDIT: I can no longer edit the first post unfortunately.

My 1979 BJ40 just falls in January of that year. It has a flip cover than a slider. I wonder this boot is applicable or not.
