Well you paid a whole lot less for the same pump I just installed. Damn I need a beer! Lesson learned.

I have no idea what a 40 fuel pump costs from Mr. T. I just needed one in a hurry and NAPA had one on the shelf. Discovering that it was Kyosan was a bonus.

I've been surprised by the number of OEM parts that are rebranded as NAPA. Last year I bought clutch slave and master cylinders from NAPA. They were both AISIN, and cost less than half the discounted price quoted by a well known MUD vendor.

There's also a 10% discount if you have a AAA card.

$120 from the yoda man. I'll know next time. Thanks Lee!

Anyone have any used but decent working '75+ tail lights they dont need?

I need to get rid of the magnetic trailer lights on the 40-Camper AKA the Backwoods Bellagio.

Thanks

Putting new alternator in 40.
Will this one work and seems kind of cheap.

Ultima 14131 - Alternator | O'Reilly Auto Parts

Should work fine. The electrical demands on a 40 are really low until you start adding things like winches and off road lights, etc. Even with a winch you should be fine as long as you run a good battery with high CCA and reserve and are not doing recovery for a living...

What I generally do on these things Mike is pressure wash the Tcase so you can get a baseline and see where the actual leak is coming from.

Looks like nose cone seal (easy fix) but it is hard to say.

Get some good degreaser and some dirty clothes and head to the pressure washer.

Lucas stop leak works good to seal up old seals if you don't want to dump $ it while waiting on Orion.

Thanks. As soon as I get the new alternator in that is what I will do.

Will simple green work as a degreaser?

Looks like every old 40 I've ever seen. Do like Nolen says and then get the seals to fix it. Marlin seals!
