From what I remember u-bolts are not supposed to be reused. When torqued to spec you actually stretch them.

Nolen, do you still own that mustard 40? I'm out of touch and didn't know if it was still your farm truck, or already sold.

Wow! You put Todd in a 40? Good work, Sir!

Did he fly to Jackson and drive it back?

Shush, those are the stiffest Skyjacker Softrides I have ever seen. Look at mine next time and see if they look the same. Mine have been soft since they were installed. Makes me think they might not be Skyjackers. Holla when you buy the slip plate. I'll split it with ya.

Jeff, I plan to take them off (providing bolts cooperate) and remove those 2 smallest leafsand reinstall and see if that along with new bushings help. I want to see how that rides and then will probably look at either new springs or buying slip plate. (will definitely split it with you)

Ive been putting Kroil on the rear suspension every time I go by it in the garage so hopefully it will all come loose ok.

A gallon of SLIP PLATE goes a long way. I wouldn't be surprised if you have enough to coat 3-4 sets of leaf springs.

Wear gloves. Unless you want really slippery hands for several weeks.

Hopefully soon. I got go through it and fix some little stuff. Lori liked riding in the 40 on the trail more than the 80. Not sure if she's going to like the 40 on the street, cause your right it ain't no caddie!

First home Arizona.
In 86' sold. Moved from barn to barn with a guy in the armed forces.(air force I think). He had intentions of restoring it. But never did. PhilC64 bought it in 08' in green bay I believe and Did the work on it. Used it as a trail truck. Has not been driven on the road since 86'. Best part is it is no rust!
