Anybody here done the rear disc break conversion on your 40? If so what did you do for a parking brake afterward?

And how do you make the damn 'brake' light go off at the steering column?
 
All the time. Parking brake is on the transfer case
 
You can do a parking brake on a disc swapped axle but will need el dorado calipers instead of Monte Carlo.
 
Brake light could be several things but normally due to the e-brake handle needing adjusting. Mine is on right now but it's an adjustment issue.
 
Anyone know the part number for the snap ring labeled 43411C in the below? Or where i can get it besides SOR? Cannot find it anywhere, and i need one.

I'm sure beno could get you one. Have you already separated the birf & shaft? I just clean them out intact and repack with grease.
 
Beno will hook you up. If they are the same as an RCV or a Longfield then RCV or Trail Gear

How much would a V8 auto swap cost for a 40?

I've got a case of 80 fever so trying to decide if I should try to sell/trade for an 80 or make the 40 into something more I want.
