The front hoop is the only tricky part of a 40 cage.just get the rest of the cage built locally.

I rolled my first 40 3-4 times with a front cage welded to the stock hoop not finally gave way.

It will do the job on most slow flops but anything major and you moonlight wish you had gone with .120 dom

Most of us only wear a lap belt and any major roll is going to kill us anyway

I was thinking of designing the rear cage like the pic above and then tie the metal tech front to it.

I like the look of it in the pic, nice simple but not sure it is strong enough.

Haha, you managed to find a cage uglier than MT. That is a feat.

Just buy the rest of the MT cage and be safe. Drill a hole in the original hoop and see how thin that tube is. I wouldn't trust it. Just sayin...
