The bread winner posted up some pics on facebook. ; ) going to be a fun project there!

I will post some tomorrow. Still trying to get the bread winner to finance another 40;)

I kinda know what direction I am going with it but still don't have a start date for it.

Thx, but I'm probably somewhere like 20th on that list. My 40 is currently sitting in the garage with no brakes...

Now that you mention it....

Ha. No, there will be no 2nd 40, or 2nd anything for quite a while. It's fun, but one is enough!

Axles from 60 series, arb, long fields, new gears, rear is FF. tub in ok shape rear sill has had some work done needs some more to get ready for paint. Has factory soft top bows and Spector top. Solid looking. Jealous. You want to sell that soft top setup (if I can stomach drilling holes in my qps)?

Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD

I might. I put it on to see how it looks. I will let you know in a week or 2 if I am going to sell it.

I'd be interested in bows and soft top if saint passes. My tub has got plenty of holes.

No offense meant to the PO.

you could put on two sets of bows and three soft tops Mike

how is that paint holding? are you garaging it?

What's up with the arch in those springs? Never seen a set with that much arch.

No engine weight on them....loose they have nothing holding them down (gravity and an axle)

just my thoughts. I am sure I am wrong but most trucks without motors and new springs look crazy. A 60 at Georgle's looked the same way.

What's the dimension difference between the 4L60e and the 4L80? anyone? 80 is supposed to be stronger than the 60...

I assume you can run an orion behind the 4L60e or 4L80. that way you wont have to change the rear axle to a centered diff.

It's longer. Stronger yes but the 4l60 is stringer than the Orion and the Cruiser axles so he will be fine.

It's a long combo even with the rear axle pushed back the rear shaft will be short and $$

The rear springs are the ones I am talking about. That's way more arch than all of the 4" lifts we have ever installed even with the springs laying on the ground uninstalled.
