The reason I built this cruiser, my fam! Boys have been logging some serious off-road miles this season with me. To me Cruisers are memory makers.

The swimming hole they saw on the way in and begged for two days to stop at on the way out only to freeze themselves once they got in... all Montanan streams were snow yesterday, they’re COLD!

Cruisers are either a memory maker or a money pit... but they cost the same either way. Get out and beat on them to give you the memories that will far outlast the rig!

Proud father post over.

Truck looks great, those are 35s, right?

Not sure if I missed it, but what is your tire size now? Are you running spacers with those wheels?

Yup 35’s with 1.25” wheel spacers and 2.5” OME lift with 864’s in the rear.

When you’ve been wheeling for over 20+ years and your PM is finally dialed in. Talk about milking a set of pads for all their worth.

Also, big shout out to one of the very best in the biz @cruiseroutfit as once again, the parts Kurt and his team vet are top notch! These brake pads are rad.

Damn!!! You got some USE out of those pads!!
I’ve learned once they start squealing from the wear tab alarm thingy... you’re close! Haha once they stop squealing... it’s time. Also, I’m lazy.

It’s been dry and dusty, trying to get the miles in on the dirt before any fires shut us down.

Finally found a spot for that pesky HiLift jack base plate. It is a helpful tool when you need one. I used a long bolt and thumb knob to screw it into the jack. It’s survived 100+ miles of off road and doesn’t rattle or loosen so that’s a win!

It is almost like it was made for this spot.

Is this supposed to be removeable?

It appears to be an outer layer... still pretty quiet. I’ll run it till it dies.

I've enjoyed this writeup, especially as I recently picked up a 98 100 same color as yours, and the Sahara bumper ! So you moved to Bozeman, awesome. I grew up there, what a great place to get into the outdoors !

I've just got so chime in with so many others here and applaud your amazing work. I recently got a 99 myself, and came here looking for inspiration. You did not disappoint. I've been hooked since page one and happy to see this thread is still alive. Keep up the excellent work, and thank you for the detailed walk throughs.

So Drew, a couple of questions for you. Still running 315's or did you switch to 305's ? And the random one, still running the frame vibration dampener ?
Just curious.

Thanks man, it's been a great vehicle. Tons of memories, miles and smiles.

I am running actual 35x12.5-18 non metrics still but when they wear out I will drop back to 305/65-18 or if I find a good set of 35's in the KM3, I'd jump on them too. The 35's have their place but they aren't great for the 100. I haven't been able to do anything with the 35's that I wouldn't have been able to do with the 305's.

If I could find a true 35 x 11-11.5 it would be the ideal tire for a 100 I think

Beautiful!

Had another coil go out. That’s 4/8 so far. I always keep a spare and will replace them as they go...

Finally after about 4 years I decided to get the rear trim back on. Trail damage you ask!? Nope, automatic car wash.

I love that Toyota still sells everything to properly reattach this thing.

OEM goodness...

I used some 3M emblem glue to seal the edges. I was getting water in from melting snow and then the water would freeze up and clunk around in the lower rear quarter panel... now it doesn’t.
