This adapter allows pre-1972 cruiser owners with the stock column shift system able to keep that shifting system while still upgrading to the newer (1974-1980) H42 4 speed transmission. A real win!
This adapter easily mounts to the 4 speed. A shifter linkage needs modification as well as raising the transmission hump. Not much when adding onto a normal 4 speed swap in an early rig.
