4-Hole Fuel Injectors?

That's where my buddy with the non-fitting ones for the 4Runner got his as well...

They fit fine, two weren't atomizing the fuel effectively, causing those two cylinders to misfire.

Closing the books on this mod everyone. I installed OEM Toyota injectors with 275k miles on them. Runs like a charm now. Don't buy these, get the originals rebuilt by RC or whatever. Luckily Oside has a warranty so I'll call them and see what I can do.

I was very curious how this was going to turn out. Sorry it didn't work out. I wanted to upgrade to the 4 hole pintels as well when I just did my rebuild a few months back, especially since I had just done the same with my '85 BMW 635, which worked beautifully, but in that case, I was able to find original injectors that had the upgraded 4-holes, so everything was plug and play. It's too bad it took the long route, but thanks for going through the motions for the rest of us. Agreed, just get a set of rebuilt or have yours re-done. Seems we're stuck with single pintle injectors.

Jmstu76, how is your cruiser doing? I would like to know your link
Well guys,
With the help of a friend, I installed these injectors today. On initial start up, the 3FE seems to idle smoother. These injectors are louder. The entire rpm range seems smoother. Install went well, the same as installing the standard injectors. I have about 15 miles on them so far. I'll report back with performance and mileage later with more miles.

it’s funny to look back on this scam now that I know how injectors and EFI in general works many years later.

I bought some injectors from ebay that were green look alike and they barely got my cruiser moving. I swapped back to the original injectors, but I am still looking for good 4 hole injectors

These are cheap knockoffs that fit whatever other Nissan, Honda, Subaru etc that happen to have the same injector height and electrical connector.

The ECU controls the injector pulse either with pre-determined open-loop strategy or real-time closed loop strategy based on the O2 sensor reading once the engine is warmed up (CTS switch on the thermostat housing). This is true for ANY fuel injection.
A bigger injector is just going to get pulsed less and will have less resolution at lower pulse-width.

Two injectors with the same lbs/hr flow rate and ran at the same rail pressure will flow the same amount of fuel. That’s all that matters.

Here’s a good example, how about all the people installing Holley Sniper’s since this thread was started almost 10 years ago?
Those are dumping gas out of two 100lb/hr injectors into the intake almost 12-16” away from the furthest runner, and run great.

Been running the Denso 4hole injectors, no difference in performance. I mean the truck runs great but nothing changed in any other metric that I can tell.

Glad I still have my extra OEM injectors in a box.

Haven't had any issues with my originals so I haven't been in a hurry to get the extras serviced and swap them in.

I use Derr Injector Service for injector services. Super fast turnaround and great pricing.
