Couple of questions that may be of general interest:

What time are we planning trail run departures?

-We'll be leaving the metro area Thursday after work so we'll be rolling in to camp late night and hoping to grab a few zzz's. We will roll in as descretely as possible to avoid a disturbance but I'm generally expecting camp to be fairly active on arrival night. I chose the fishing trip for Friday to keep seat time low but what time do you plan to run?

Poughkeepsie Gulch, seriously want to do it, signed up for it, but I do NOT want to be that guy.
My '99 is obviously rear locked, mild lift, BFG A/T's and WKOR sliders, not much else. Running an ARB front but have not run air yet so it's strong but otherwise useless. I do have front reco brackets and a rear receiver shackle. Body damage is acceptable, but I don't like the idea of rolling over with the hard shell RTT.
What do the trail bosses and Poughkeepsie Pros think?

I think we decided on 9am departures, the other guys can chime in if I am wrong.

Poughkeepsie Gulch is a fun trail and it really only has one obstacle, The Wall. I made it up with lift, tires, bumpers, sliders and ATRAC. You just have to pick the right line and you will have spotters, so you should be fine.

You won't go wrong with any trail you pick and none of you will be disappointed.

Also, don't worry about "delaying" the group. We have a lot of different ability levels and we will move as one group, we'll get everyone through.

I am sure there is no one more excited about this trip than I am. I lived in CO for my fifth grade year, and grew up in WA. Moved to AR almost 20 years ago in the middle of my tenth grade and haven't seen a real mountain since. Minus a TDY to Hill AFB in Salt Lake. I am fat kid who grew up in mild temps that hates these summers! Man I need some COLORADO!!!

I know you guys are coming from much hotter places but Colorado is not that much cooler!

Took this today at 5pm leaving work!

Obviously up in the mountains will be a lot less! Specially at night!
Can't wait!

Ouray weather shows highs in mid 70s lows in 50s! Sound like January where I'm from!

Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD, and hopefully approved by the NSA.

95*F in ~30% humidity is much different then 95*F and 100% humidity. In Atlanta, when you start to sweat it doesn't dry, your day is ruined. I've been in 100+*F dry heat and it's much more bearable than 90*F and 100% humidity.

lol...I better bring a jacket. I'm not sure I own any that will keep me warm in 50* weather!

Agreed. I'm from Brazil and our "summers" (portions of the other seasons included) are basically 6 1/2 months of heavy thunderstorms all day and still 90F! So I know what you r going through!

I hate humidity!!! All fat kids do! Tucson other summer in better than anything east of Amarillo and south of I40 in the summer. I told my wife I'm not coming back! She can pack up the house and we can live out of tent and catch out food. At least we would be in Colorado! Too bad she won't move...

Yeah, I have been spamming this thread. Sorry guys. Hopefully I won't be THAT guy while we are there! Can't wait to learn from everybody about my vehicle I have been driving for the last year and a half!

Nick-my wife and I will be doing Moab for 3-4 nights after the trip then on to Zion national park. You been to Moab before?

Just now I had a chance to check the info on the trail runs! My question is: What's the average time to run Black Bear? We will be heading back to Denver on sunday and I'm trying to figure if we will have time!
Don't want to get home at midnight n go to work the morning after!

As of now we r Clear Lake, Imogene and waiting for a decision on Black Bear.

What's the biggest size tires you guys have on without requiring a lift?

275/70/18 on my 06. Purchased a matching spare today and it also fit in the stock location underneath. It was right, but in there nice and snug.

I checked and measured multiple times then ordered 285/65/18. It showed up yesterday but these things look enormous! I'm just hoping they won't rub anywhere!

Just wanted to put this out there. We are coming up on Thursday. I have some trailer space if people want some items delivered. We do have Blueberry bumpers in stock right now, but unfortunately not any rear bumpers.
