Got my orange unit last evening. Great product, fast shipping and all of the hardware including the allen wrench were included. Nice job Andy!

Black would be my personal preference. I think as more of the 80 series guys find out about this you will have some serious demand for these.

Thanks for looking into this.

Any chance you have considered making one that fits the key too? Something more like this one:
Stauber

Could you make it in an OD green instead of or in addition to the lime green?

Wow, I thought I had subscription notices for this thread. Sorry your messages went unanswered guys!

@verruckt1 Thanks for the kind words. My wife has been a huge help in getting orders shipped out ASAP. With few exceptions we've been able to get stuff shipped in 1-2 days. In the world of Amazon Prime and same day deliveries I feel obligated to get stuff out the door!

@FloydtheDog Gotcha, black it is. I have about 1/3 of the first 80 series fob done, but it's a tricky design. The shell is an active part of the circuit for the remote and has a tiny stamped steel contact for the battery held by the case. Not as simple as the 100! Still doable, but it's taking more time.

@poseidon I would love to make one that integrates the key as well. I started down that path and abandoned it after realizing it would require a metal insert. I'll have to jump back into it. I think it could be done, but at a price point around $60-75 shipped. That Stauber one looks just like a beefy OEM version with some added.... "styling", haha. The price on that is SUPER low, nothing I could even touch. Looks like they're using a huge clearance around the buttons and a basic ABS plastic. I bet it's still prone to cracking. If I make an offering with the key, it will be far better, I promise that. OD Green is a great idea, as is a Coyote or FDE color for my fellow gun/camo enthusiasts. I have a couple white ones I need to paint, but I could also just sell them white and let customers paint them.

HIH6 versions now sold out and available only via special order. You can checkout using the site, but as it states on the website, there will be a lead time of around 2-3 weeks as I'll have to order each piece as needed.

Is there any interest in custom text or design backs for the fob shell? For a nominal fee I could customize the back with an engraving. Details have size limitations so basic text works best, but anything down to the size of the lock logo on the front would work well. If there's any demand I'll add that to the site. PM for inquiries.

I'm also working to offer this the Lexus community in other models. If you own or know someone who owns another Lexus (IS300, RX, GX, etc...) that uses the same kind of 3 button remote have them contact me if they want a cheap/free key fob in exchange for some publicity in their community.

I am in for two of the 80 series remotes. I have an fzj80 with the two button remote pictured on the left in this link: http://amzn.to/1XsG9ca

I am happy to donate one temporarily as a prototype for that style. Please send me a PM and I will send it out. Thanks!

Replied! Excited to get this going for the FZJ ppl. :)

Just ordered a blue one. Ive wanted one for a while and been putting it off until I lost the back half of the shell today. Thanks for making these. Sure beats the other options out there.

Thanks, got your order, it'll be shipped out Monday/Tuesday!

Here's the first prototype for your style FOB for the 80 series. The rendering doesn't show the front screw and the corners will actually have some additional rounds on the edges. This gives you the idea of what I have in mind though. It'll require a little assembly on the end of the 80 owners since the remote is a little less simple than the 100 series remote.

Looks pretty good. Hope it prints as good as it looks!

@Rustic76 Thanks for the pic! Looks great!

Updates:

80 Series: @UCLAcruiser First prototype came in - looks awesome! all the major dimensions are dead on. I got lucky. The internals fit just right and it functions. I'm going to make a slew of changes to improve it, but it's well on it's way (for the two button Toyota branded one at least). The damn internals are just so big that it's hard to make it as sleek as the 100 series, but i think it will still look nice with my updates.

100 Series:

-Hardware: I will soon offer a hardware kit on the site. I had a screw come loose as did my first tester customer from early 2016. I think it's a result of under-tightened screws during assembly. I should be able to have the hardware kits available for nearly nothing in case any of you lose a screw and don't have any of the back-ups provided in the original package.

-Colors: I will likely soon remove some color options from the site - or at least change them to special order. I plan to add white as an option and allow customers to paint their own.

Sounds great, I am excited to see the final product! Funny story, my alarm remote died while about 25 miles from my house this past weekend. I stripped the screw while trying to change the battery in the parking lot of a strip mall. At that moment, I stopped cursing and remembered that a replacement was in the works. :)

Haha, great timing! I still have a few features to add to the design before I send off for the next prototype, but then we should be very close to done!

Preview of Rev 2 for 80 series, currently in printing queue with Shapeways attached.

I changed a lot of minor features and the mechanism for holding it together on the top half is either really clever if it works or a big waste of time if it doesn't... I'm hoping this is the last prototype and the next print will be the real deal. Cross your fingers! haha.

More info and pics to come, but I couldn't wait to get this posted. It turned out awesome! The design on the back needs a little adjustment to look more bfg at-ish but this gives you an idea.

There's a neat retaining feature tab in the top so it's fully secured all over by just one screw. For sale soon...

That looks great. Any progress with the other 80 style remote, or has the integrated battery contact stalled things out?

The other "Isuzu" style is up next. These two 80 series designs share the same internal battery component, so I think we're ok there. I'll aim for a similar design with some alterations to fit the different buttons.

I prioritized the above design first because @UCLAcruiser donated a fob and I want to get his back to him promptly. :)

Thats great, glad to hear hear it. I look forward to buying a much improved fob from you.

Thanks again.

That looks like a great remote that is worthy of our solid axle land tanks! Thanks for your hard work, I am so excited to see the final product!
