Have you seen if this fits the 80 series ash tray spot? My TBC hits my knee where the PO mounted it. That would be good to know!

I am pretty sure the width is different on the later 80, eary 80 is very skinny.

I can make a mount if you like.

Has anyone 3dprinted or selling a replacement center console "liner" for a cd changer delete center console. I removed the CD changer and now there is just a large hole in half of the console. would be nice to remove the factory portion and fully replace with a 3d printed box in the center console.

I have no idea if this model fits an 80, but doubtful. FYI outside width of this carrier is approx 90mm. (The 'faceplate' is wider). If the width is correct, would next need to confirm if the rail locations match.

I've printed this trim piece out for running a USB cable from my aftermarket head unit. The link is for a RHD, but you can always flip it in Prusa so it fits LHD.

I printed this out on PETG, and spray-painted it with black rustoleum. This was meant to be a prototype but it's functioned so well that I've honestly forgotten to make a new one.

Also interested in roof rack caps (2000 LX version). Hmm, I wonder if that is something that can be scanned with a 3D scanner or maybe even an iphone?
I still have my OEM roof rack caps for my 2000 LC, so if it comes down to it I can send them off to whomever wants to 3D scan them.

After picking up a scangauge 3 for my 99 LX, I realized that our cabin is pretty cramped. I didn't like the windshield mount and my overhead console is the garage door opener with the small cutout so I opted to make a mount in the blank spot on the dash angled towards the driver. It's perfect for me, but tell me what you think. Go easy as this is my first design. relatively new to the whole 3d print world) I designed it with a 17mm ram/ ball mount. Don't laugh, but 16 or 20 hours later, several hours on my micrometer and I don't know how many prints later, this is what I came up with..... I'm gonna quote BIG4RNR's post here as well.

pwhammond: do have any instructions/write up on the center counsel cd tremoval?

that has been on my list...........to afraid to jack electronics up :bang:
Remove the center console assembly. I want to say there's 1 screw at the bottom of the storage compartment, 2 screws you access through the rear cup holders (top side of the cup holders), and then 3 more on each side of the center console. One the sides, the 2 rearward screws are easy to access by moving the seat forward, the front screw however can't be easily accessed with the seat still in the car. I was able to get them out without removing the seats by using a 90° ratcheting screwdriver, and just never put the screws back in case I need to access it again. I probably also removed the shifter console surround before all of this as I was running wire through there, it just pops out (and there's a few buttons you'll need to unplug), but I'm not sure if it was actually necessary for this.

Once that whole thing is out of the way, there's just four 10mm (IIRC) bolts that keep the CD changer bolted to the floor. There's a wire harness that plugs in to the CD changer (I think just one, I think the other harness I had lying around was for the rear radio controls I also removed at the same time), unplug that and you're done. Not really anything to mess up electronics wise.

Should be a video or two on YouTube about removing it, I think one of CruiserPatch's videos about interior removal covers this (but he also removed his seats).
