Man, I'd love to but Cali isn't to close to Denver. Rubithon is my big trip for the year.Or just sign up and take yet another wheeling trip![]()
i'll be there in this...
It's gonna be the (rear) RCV drive flanges!
Knock them off with a brass drift and reinstall on the new birf. (Unless you no longer use tone ring.Doug, do you have to remove the tone rings and press them on the RCV's or is there one under the wrap ?
At the moment I’m just replacing the fronts. I really should install axles (with the factory locker section of splines machined off).
Front is inner hub rings on the Aisins that go for me now
that's a good fuse to have...Front is inner hub rings on the Aisins that go for me now
I have flanges as spares (assuming it doesn’t take out the splines on the birf stub shaft) and the old axle/birfs as spares. I’m still running 315s and made it about 300,000 miles on the originals before breaking a birf.Front is inner hub rings on the Aisins that go for me now
Yup. I carry an old drive flange and a complete hub.that's a good fuse to have...
I've been fortunate to never break a birf on this one so far. But Longfields went in the week I bought it, and now RCVs. 37s for a while and going to 40s soon I don't expect to have a problem. Gotta keep my fingers crossed though!I have flanges as spares (assuming it doesn’t take out the splines on the birf stub shaft) and the old axle/birfs as spares.
