very nice. i've got 37x12.5 on 17" sequoia rims, mine appear taller/narrower, fwiw. 5.29's are very nice with 37's for sure.

question, what shocks are you running?

i bottomed out at Rousch Creek in the fall and in the month(s) since then had an oil leak near my LR tire, thought it was an axle issue until i saw, phew, just my shock leaking oil. they are 9000 ranchos with the adjustable knob. a local mechanic saw this and my shocks and throught they were not the right ones for this seutp (PO did them)

i'm running J's, 1" spacers, no bump stops, still with flares. i rub on the front if the wheel is turned and i go too fast down into a hole.

in the rear, once on a nice ledge drop, my left rear bottomed out and the tire rubbed the inner fender - i think that's when i hit my shock. what shocks fit your rig with your current seup?

Im running Rancho RS5000's which are way too soft for this rig, I don't remember the part #'s, but can look them up if you'd like to go that route, they also make the 9000's in the same size (should have gotten them)

They are about an inch longer than the OME L's. The only problem is that they are both "posts on top and eyes on the bottom" where as the stock fronts are posts on both ends.

I just made 2 tabs for each side and through bolted them.

When I get a change to get back to the shop I'll take pics of the shocks and the cut off pieces of the fenders.

Also, I have NO bumpstop extentions and have pulled tires and still dont rub? I wonder if its the spacers?

I will say that they can't really fit much better.

Here's the pic of the cut offs, they're about 13" long and 3" wide....

No, It wasn't too bad, and you can't even notice it unless you know. Here's a few shots of it fully flexed, the front rubs ever so slightly, but not enough to worry about.

That's some close tolerances. I'm running drop brackets instead of plates for caster correction. I wonder if that might push the front axle a little further forward and avoid hitting the rear of the fender. How close do you think you are to the front bump stops on that top picture?

Are you correcting the rear panhard bar at all?

Thanks for all the info. It's been very helpful.

No problem, I didn't take any pics of the bumps, but I will next time, I have not lengthened My panhurds Yet, but they don't seem to be a real factor when flexing, non the less, they're on my short list.

Nice set up. Love thh 345s. What kind of RPMs are you turning at 70mph with those 5:29s? Still on the fence between 4:88s or 5:29s when I do my regear next month.

I'd say I'm around 2800@65orSo, which is prefect for me, right in the meat of the power, I think 4.88'S are a waste of time. I'll check on my way home and get you some better #'s. I can say that I'm, averaging 13-13.5 mpg which is better than with the 35', both with and without gears.

Pulled the trigger on 5:29s today, cruiser is in the shop and will be 3x locked with new gears by next friday :p

I'm getting 11.5mpg with the stock gears so even 13 would be a welcome change.

So I finally got the chance to get back in MUD and post the RPM's
~2000@50 MPH
~3000@75 MPH

Also, congrats on the gears, hope you like them....

looking for an update now that you have had your tires for a few months. how are you liking them? any problems with rubbing or any thing else? i'm getting ready to pull the trigger on some new tires and its between these or 315 pitbull rocker radials which supposedly measure over 35". thanks in advance.

Sorry for the late reply, but I'm loving the tires, wearing wonderfully!! I have 10K on them already (do a lot of driving). They are the best tires I have ever had. No cupping or weird wear and are only worn about 20% I'd say. I run 42 PSI and they are wearing very flat. I attribute the great wear to the width of them and the fact that they are load range D, where my MTR's were only C's.

I rotated them once at 5K and will be doing it again here in a week or so. But they are not very much louder than when new, no vibrations at speed or low speed as you get with a traditional mud tire once it wears.

They dig like **** off road (15 PSI). Not really chunking either.

They work well on rocks, mud, and the dry. They kick the **** out of my old MTR's, which were junk after ~5500 miles.

Hope this helps, let me know if you need any more opinions

thanks for the reply. sounds like they are working out real well. did you get a new cruiser? is the suspension set up the same as the one in the op? I see the white cruiser has fender flares, that gives me hope that these tires will fit ok with flares. did you have to trim the flares at all? And are you running extended bump stops? and last question I promise did you by any chance measure the diameter with the tires off the cruiser? sorry for all the questions

I 100% agree with him. I love mine. I have 8,000 miles on mine.

I am daily driving mine 70 miles a day with stock gears. I love it. It sits at 2000 RPMs with 60 mph on the speedo (70 true) and I am getting anywhere from 13.5 to 15 mpg.

I hand figure my mileage by adding 18% to the number due to tire size over stock.

Off road, they are really good. I talked a friend into putting them on his 40 and we did some tough trails this weekend and they shined over tires other guys run.

I have my flares. No rubbing to speak of...nothing that will hurt the tires or truck.

Keep the stock wheels. Offset if perfect to tuck the tires in at full stuff.

Mine rub a bit on the inside. I drove it ALL OVER Moab with mine and got in no situation where the rubbing was bad at full stuff/turn

The flares are not touched.

Look up a few posts, I have my own thread on this subject and there are pics of how close everything is.

I have very little lift on my truck so mine is a bit different than most

those are good number for such tall tire .. with stock gears .. they must be kinda light tires ..

Which pressure you use on road .?

40 psi

Here is the deal...I have rarely gotten better mileage with a taller/heavier tire. The weight...resistance....etc always offsets the bigger tires.

Tall skinny 33's on a 40 sometimes help MPG on the road but most of the time no increase.

I check my mileage every tank by hand. I did before with the 295's and I do now with the 345's. I used to add 10% now I add 18% to the mileage. May not be right, but it is consistent.

The RPM drop with these tires and 4.11's is substantial and I am purposely driving like a grandpa.

70 mph at 2000-2100 RPM is nice. That is the ticket.
