thanks for the reply. sounds like they are working out real well. did you get a new cruiser? is the suspension set up the same as the one in the op? I see the white cruiser has fender flares, that gives me hope that these tires will fit ok with flares. did you have to trim the flares at all? And are you running extended bump stops? and last question I promise did you by any chance measure the diameter with the tires off the cruiser? sorry for all the questions

It's the same cruiser, just spray painted it tan, and reinstalled the flares, got a pretty good ticket for the tires sticking out. But same set up, no bumpstop extensions. Also, did have to trim the flares in the Same Spot as the fenders. Haven't had a chance to measure, but I know it's on BFG is site.

Here's where I had to trim.

Thanks for the reply. So I guess I will have to do some trimming if I go that rout. Yeah the bfg site says they are 36.4" but they are notorious for saying they measure bigger than they actually do. They say my 315's are 34.8" but I'm lucky if they are even 34".

Reason I requested is based on past experience with the inaccuracies of BFG posted sizes. I'm ready to order, be it these or 17s, but can't find an actual measurement on anything but 16x10s.

Edited: a 365/75/16 on a 16x10 measures 37.6x14.3 on a 16x10.

They measure them on a rim, aired up, but unmounted; no weight on them.

Neither of us in my club have trimmed anything with these tires. One guy is running J's all around and I have Medium front/Heavy rear with 2" front spacer and 1" rear spacer.

Mine looks like it would tear the s*** out of my truck because it sits so low but it works and nothing is getting torn up.

The tires are about 36" on the truck mounted. If you want bigger, there is always the 365

I questioned wether 365s would mount in the OEs, but found a thread you participated in on PBB, and a respondent (jk) stated they fit the 8" and measured 37.75.

Wish they'd posted what the width was.

Thanks for the info. It's not that I want bigger I was just curious what the actual measurement was because bfg is usually so off with their measurements. Sounds like they might be accurate in this case. I'm aiming to retain maximum articulation with these tires mounted so I'll probably go the rout 95toycruiser went with the 1" wheel spacers and no bump extensions.

If you are locked, a bit more stuff and flex is mainly window dressing in my opinion.

1" wheel spacers will get the tires into the flares and outer sheetmetal I fear. I know they would on mine. Mine tuck right into the fenderwell and what they rub will never cause damage (Inside of the tub)

I have seen 44" boggers on 8" wheels. I would not sweat that in the least.

No 345s to be had, so back to square one.

Yep damnit! I paid for a set at my local discount tire and they called me today to tell me that BFG told them they were on back-order with no timeline as to when they would be available again.

I am hitting the rubicon this summer so i need a new set. I've been running the truxus for years now and like them, but they do cup pretty bad and i'm having issues with tire pull.

I'm not sure i want to go down to a 315.... Damnit! :bang:

The irony is, I found 345s and ran for a bit, before going to 37" Krawlers.

My advice, though hesitantly stated, is to scrap the OEs and go 17" wheels.

More tire choices and availability doesn't seem to be an issue.

I haven't been able to find a set of that size yet. I called tire rack, local tire stores and discount tire checked all of their stores and could not find any.

I'm very hesitant to switch wheel size since i really like the OE wheels, have two sets of them, have a full sized spare mounted on one and they are perfectly backspaced. Switching wheels would be my last choice.

Keep an eye on PBBs WTS. I've seen several sets of new roll through there, but normally not enough time to notify anyone I know looking.

Caution though. It's not like Mud, and best to thoroughly check out the seller.
