Congrats! You are going to love it. I did not have time to do a full review yet, but this thing is solid as a rock. It is like a modernized 200 at just the right amount of tech, way better than the "screen with wheels" all other modern cars of comparable prices are today. I am even already used to the safety features that many complain here. I find them helpful and very little intrusive. I realize I might still be in the honeymoon phase but have a feeling it will last for a long time. Also, I am sure you are patting yourself in the back for having patience and waiting for a 2-row. I know, I am. It is sooo much better in terms of space. Of course, if you do not need a 3-row.

PS. I won't complain about my Earth color, but oh, crap...that nori green looks faaaabulous.

I have two new owner questions for the group and one comment:

1. When I use the massage function, at the very top it make a sound like the air is being released AND it makes a sound like two pieces of sticky paper being pulled apart. It's like the material is new and has some sort of sticky crinkly sound when it contracts. The air release sound seems normal the sticky sound does not. Is this normal?

2. This one is a bit embarrassing. First Lexus and first Toyota...In every other car I've owned, the rear brake caliper is totally enclosed from the front side (usually painted some cool color) but the LX seems to be wide open. My research says this is normal for Toyota and what I'm looking at is the anti-rattle spring. Google says it a floating rear caliper with an electronic parking brake. I'll post pictures. Why does Toyota do this and every other car I've seen has it covered?

Comment: Its funny that Lexus didn't use acoustic glass on the moon roof. The cross bars make a ton of noise on the highway that completely goes away once the cover is closed (back to vault sound levels). Could have cost what an extra $100?!

1) something is wrong with your massage function. Mine makes almost no sound, except a faint mechanical electric motor sound.
2) the brake looks normal. Not sure why Toyota does it this way.
3) yes, sunroof cover does add a lot of sound deadening.

Mine makes the same peeling woosh sound in my massage. Only when it's right around my ear but when it gets to upper back and lower, i don't hear anything.

My thought is that it doesn't make any sound when it's pushing on something but since I'm short (5'4") the top part of the massage doesn't push on anything, so i can hear the sound. Although the sound is not that loud, it just happens right behind my ear level.

Thanks for the reply Docyota. eNX - I am also a fellow manlet. I just sat in the passenger and it didn't make the sound. Very slight sound of air venting at the top but no crinkling. My driver side sounds like two pieces of tape are being pulled apart (two sticky things) as the air escapes. Bummed because I want it to not do that but I really don't want the service guys pulling a seat (the car is so perfect right now). Might just wait for a month or two and see if it breaks in.

Yes. Do that. Mine sometimes does the sound and sometimes does not. I feel it is adjusting to regular use. Really does not bother me at all when it does the sound though.

The crossbars, yes. I was actually surprised by how much noise it does. I had the infamous HE roof basket in my 200 and that was reeeally noisy. I was ok with it because I dig the looks and sometimes used the thing to actually carry stuff. The OT crossbars noise is not as loud, but it gets pretty darn close. The difference is that when you close the cover in the OT it isolates much more than in the 200HE, which is expected due to additional noise insulation.

Yeah the noise from the roof is cost of doing business i guess. I need the rack for skis so is what it is. I just close the cover on the freeway. The cabin is so big and light i don’t care

Whats with the diamond pattern door sills? Are those extra grippy so spec ops guys can have a solid footing while they smoke bad guys? I really wish I had a gun hatch instead of moon roof.

I still love that 300. And everyone who tells me that just get a Lexus 600/700, it is not the same thing. This will probably get removed by the mods and I understand, but I have to say it already., because I am sick and tired of seeing vehicles that are sold in other countries but can't be sold here because.... Well, the American government needs an enima to expel the bloated beaurocracy.

I mean, it is the same thing with a different front and rear end, and interior appointments. Like literally the same underneath. But yeah the gr300 is still my dream.

Yeah, the guts are the same. Granted, I’ve only seen pics of the 300, but I prefer the interior and exterior of the 300.

I’ll try asking Santa for one.
