I didn't see a notification that you posted until now. And hmm, it is different than mine, more flat that's for sure, but it still appears like your need to cut it back. I had it cut down almost all the way to the floorboard but it was still hitting. Its difficult to fit a camera underneath and take a picture of how close it is, but I think there's only about 1/4 in of space (1/2 at the most) from the top plate of the t-case. It's really tight. I did use brand new motor mounts. Once they wear down after many years, the clearance will increase; but for now, it's sitting as if it's brand new.
Here are a couple more pics from the shifter rod area. The space there is also about 1/4 of an inch. I couldn't fit a camera to show the top plate area of the t-case. It sucks having to cut metal from your Fj40, but its a conversion that you want, they go for it. As said before, some people add motor mount washers to the front mounts to permanently tilt the engine back. I just didn't want to go that route in case, down the line, it throws something off in the drive-line. Doubt itll happen, but I didn't want to do it just for that reason.
