Wanted 3 speed first gear/reverse gear?

Anyone have a better looking first gear that they want to part with? Mine is a little chipped and worn.

Part #33331-60020 out of a 2/1970 3 speed transmission.

Did your first gear come off easily of the shaft? still trying to get mine off without damage.

That’s a bad sign. They should slide freely on the shaft. At this point, you really should abandon that boat anchor.

Woops meant to say the hub where the sleeve slides back and forth on. finally got it off with a puller, but it looks like I'll have to press it on a little bit. No worries as it's not supposed to move anyway.

I'm going to give it a good ole college try in rebuilding. Replacing the rollers, synchronizing rings, springs, keys, key springs, balls/springs, bearings obviously..... and DASSIT.... oh and the oil.

If i start replacing the gears, it MAY make more sense just to buy a new tranny, can't believe they still sell them new.

Really they sell them new? Where?
 
Yeah that was before my dad moved. I’m going to try to go by there tomorrow and while I’m there I’ll look. He used to be about 10mins from me know it’s an 1 1/2hrs
