Nothing done on the lpb today, just thought I would post a couple pics I thought were kinda cool.

This weekend I am planning on sewing up an entire interior for my autobody buddy's 32 ford. He dropped it off today while I was at work in the driveway. He's planning on coming up tomorrow night and giving me a hand while my wife, him and myself sew it up and install it. Anyway....drove the Yamaha chopper to work today and came home, I was moving my lpb into the next garage stall and I backed up his 32 into the driveway while I cleaned the garage. Didn't plan on posing them, just walking back from the shed and thought it looked cool.

I'll try to post up some pics of the interior work from this weekend.

I guess that you're taking the hot rod to the car show, or the beautiful FJ45. I won first place in a local car show with my 1964 custom fj45 about 12 years ago, heard about another show 2 months later and spent plenty of time polishing the 45 up, went to enter and was not allowed to enter because it was not an "american" car. Check out the fine print before you think about entering in a car show. My "american" engine and turbo 400 tranny did not help. Good Luck. John Pardi

I'll be towing that behind the lpb. They have a motorcycle class, but I don't think they get much of turnout for that. I'll bring a few before pics of that thing, should get a laugh out of a few people.

If you guys come up....the Toyota stuff might be represent'n!! :grinpimp:

Hi Shane,

You might know....same thing Miker said above. Does Toyota still have those parts, but cheaper?

Thanks, Matt

p.s. Let me know on the headlight stuff...might need those soon ;)

They are the same as license plate push nuts. They push into a square hole and they you thread a screw into them. I get them at my local Ace Hardware.:flipoff2:

Been working on that 32 ford the last few days. About 6 hours Friday night and 11 hours today on Saturday. Still have a few more hours tomorrow, but figured I would post up a few pics.

Pretty much got all the interior panels done and the seat, turned out great. Even got the wife involved :princess:

Anway, pics of some of the action. Hoping to get the carpet cut and trimmed out tommorrow and wrap it up.

About 4 hours on the 32 ford and about 5 hours on the lpb.

My buddy showed up around 8:30 am and we got started on the carpet this morning. Nothing real special, just cut and fit piece's and I cut and sewed some binding on the side. Took a few pics of the rig after we rolled it out.

Then I got started on the lpb this afternoon after he left. Started working on rear bumper. Did some looking and measuring underneath the back end and then started fabbing up templates out of cardboard. After I got those made (after a couple attempts) I got the gas ax and 3/8" flat stock out and started cutting. After I got them cut, I drilled a couple 3/8" holes and bolted each set together. This way I was able to grind the edges down and make sure that each set was exactly the same. Got those done, few pics of the finished product.

I plan on bringing them into work tomorrow and using the 50 ton press and bending the ends for the bumper. Try to get all 4 of those brackets bolted up tomorrow and hopefully keep fabbing the bumper the rest of the week.

About 3.5 hours on the lpb tonight...all bumper.

I brought the plates I made yesterday to work and bent the angles in on the 50 ton press, works great for that. Got home this evening and started mounting the plates. Takes time, did the outside 2 first. Make sure they are the same height and the same distance out from the box. After those are mounted I start on the inside 2 using a straight edge, making sure all 4 are even with each other.

Went onto the rear bumper after that. Using the same stuff as the front, 1/4" sheet steel, bent basicly 5" on the o.d. Nothing fancy and trying to match the front. Sticks out about 5/8" on each side of the box and I mitered the corners like the front. After I got the bumper mounted I removed it again and cut the sqare in for the reciever hitch.

Tomorrow I need to make a plate that mounts to the rear of the frame in the stock 4 holes across the rear x-member. The receiver will be welded to the bumper and that plate so they will one unit. That way the hitch is supported by those 4 - 3/8" plates and the rear of the frame.
