I’m going to go talk to my wife, as instucted by the serious seller.

“Hey sweetheart, so I have this friend that is selling a cruiser, well, actually 3. I can’t tell you anything about them, I can only show you 1 picture. And I know you’re going to ask me lots of questions, but I’m going to tell you right now, I’m not answering them unless you’re serious. And even then I can’t answer them because the seller is a serious guy who’s sold hundreds of cruisers and he just lists the price snd they sell. So what do you think, can we take $25K out of our lil’ 401K and buy them? “

That’ll be the end of cruisers for me.

Or you could approach it like this

“Hey babe. This guy has 3 land cruisers for sale on Craigslist. Priced between 8-10k. Might be able to get it for less. Haven’t talked to him yet. Just wanted to run that by you”

Instead guys like you go like this

“Hey mom. I understand I currently live in ur basement. This guy has 3 land cruisers for sale on Craigslist. I’m too afraid to talk to a grown man on the phone to ask for more information. Can you call him for me?”

Your not helping sell these trucks at all. I'll bet you will be off this forum in about a week. Or change your screen name and come back and troll something / someone else. It usually takes about that long to figure it all out.... I see it all the time.
 
I am currently in the market for an 80. There are scores of them for sale. I am not interested in most of them, and I can tell that by the information in the ads. As such, I don't need to to waste my time, or that of the seller, by calling on every one of these vehicles.
 
@Joehoo ... What is truly amusing me here is that @musthave is exactly the guy that would buy 3 cruisers at once. It's kind of his thing, it's what he does. If your friend really does that too, he should just take all the pics up front and ask you to post everything on the forum. That way it's once and done since you know people are all going to ask.

No pics, no info, a some guy trying to sell some rigs he knows nothing about for a "friend"

Good luck, there are tons of other rigs for sale out there, ones that even include info, pics and multiple ways to get in contact.

No one here is afraid to pic up the phone and call someone if they are interested in a truck. But to become interested we need more than a picture of the rear of three trucks and knowing its s land cruiser. No one here is interested enough to call a guy about a 10k LC they know nothing about, and the guy making a post knows nothing about.

Yeah obviously the biggest cruiser website in the world is full of people that dont know how to buy or sell cruisers and we are all somehow jealous of 3 rigs we know nothing about but other than they are land cruisers..... which we all own or have owned, multiple times. Good luck selling the mystery rigs.... maybe Jack will come along for those magic beans one day.
 
Best thing to do is ignore if not interested. Thread will die on the vine. No need to invest energy in to this.

Most people know what to look for and what to ask when they buy an 80. Obviously you’ve asked for frame pics before with ZERO cash in hand. Kinda want to avoid that situation.

Three 80s and 5 garages ... do I get a prize? Do they all need to be black? Do they all have to be inside? The big one kinda fits, but it's a lot of work to make it happen. One is a Lexus, extra points for that?

Sad part is, when I saw the CL ad I was interested for a min, but then all the other stuff about no pics and phone only. I can't see the things I want over the phone and if I have to ask about everything it's very tedious and makes it look like the buyer has something to hide. Around here if you have a clean and/or well built truck, you usually want to show it off and post pics to max out your asking price.

In addition, anyone considering buying 3 vehicles at once, especially 3 of the exact same kind and color likely does not need to speak to the wife about it. They could sell as singles, but then we are back to the posting of all the pics that everyone buying and selling wants to see. I'm sure your friend will be able to sell them all much more easily on CL rather than the forum more 80 Series enthusiasts gather on than anywhere else. Good thing he has friends with a solid understanding of how to sell vehicles online.

Yes still available for grown men to call on.

The nice part about selling on CL is that you get “internet guys” texting about the frame everyday. Eventually you just stop responding and ask for phone calls. He’s sold 80s for years now and it’s ok if the ih8mud forum doesn’t like the way he sells.

So please go weed eat that driveway.
